(The entire story is set through Harold's POV)

We were in school today when Krupp, at the assembly, said something.

'-this year we will have a school talent show.'

I looked over at George. Huh?! A school talent show?! He had the same look as me.

The new kid (YES WE HAVE A NEW KID) put his hand up. The new kid was a weird guy, so we weren't sure what he was gonna say.

'Mr. Krupp, I'd like to go with George and Harold.'

Krupp looked at the new kid. Then he looked at us. Then he looked at the new kid again. He opened his mouth as if he was gonna say something, but he shut it again...weird. Guess that was a yes.

The new kid brought us over to his house, which had a studio(!) inside. He put on a song- 'Mesmerizer' I think it was called?- and we managed to practice.

We learned our moves, and it was swift as you might've expected. I was thinking of doing something else, but this kid seems determined, and I don't wanna let him down. Also, all we have to do is dance, sing, and pretend to get hypnotized! It's not something that could go wrong, right?

We decided to have a final test run. The kid loaded the background, and lighting. Then the music started up, and we knew what to do. We started dancing and it was okay. We started singing. I just know something is wrong! I made a help sign during the star bg. Then Geroge starting dancing. I blinked SOS in Morse code. Now it's my turn. Something is going on...

Now it's the quiz time part.

Okay, that last one was way too long.

Wait, wait. Did that just spell out 'HELP'? I'm waving my hand as the Canadian Women's sign language sign for 'sos'. Okay, this is not a coincidence.

Then the hypnotism part played on. The camera's on George now. The light's way too bright, but I see something. Then George says:

SHUTDOWN

Okay, this is getting weird! The camera moved to me, and I swear I'm not blinking. That guy may be moving a pendulum across my face, but I'm not shutting my eyes.

Crap, he's still there.

CRAP, HE'S STILL THERE.

Then the backdrop green screened. I was panicking. George only looked dazed and confused. Then it moved on to George singing and dancing.

'You're tailor-made for this era'

'WITH A SENSE OF VUNREBILITY'

Ooooh, no. I don't like this.

Wait, did the background get darker? I swear it was lighter!

Wait, 3..2..1..

HUH?! WHAT THE HECK IS GEORGE DOING?! HE'S GOING CRAZY! AHH!

I'm visibly SWEATING now. I dance a bit more. This isn't even in sync! More confetti. This is boring me!

I give up.

This has been nothing more than a visible struggle, just let me shut my eyes and stop.

Before I get entranced, I see writing: 'Swcnr crha bli cro uoibonc ehbo...'...'Watch this for the perfect life...'
