Winner: I'm on FaceTime with Ava, and let me just say, she's giggling madly, and has no regrets.

MagnificentNerd: Since when are you two close enough to FaceTime?

Winner: Since we helped relocate the unicorn herd away from the volcano!

GæHair: Is something going on, Av? You and Isabel seem a little odd recently.

Not-So Innocent: I don't know what you're talking about! Everything's fine!

GæHair: If you say so...

GæHair: You know you can talk to me about anything, right?

Not-So Innocent: I know. Thanks, Soph.

"Are you okay, French Fry?"

Sophia jerks out of her thoughts upon hearing her girlfriend's voice. They were on call, while Sophia had been texting Ava.

"Oh, yea, sorry Val," Sophia nods.

"What's wrong?" Valentina asks.

"I'm just worried about Ava. She's acting off today."

"Yea, I noticed that, too."

Sophia sighs.

After a moment of silence, Valentina speaks. "Can I say something?"

Sophia chuckles. "The Valentina Furi, asking permission?"

"I'm being serious!" Valentina laughs.

"Okay, okay!" Sophia smiles softly. "What is it?"

"Back at the academy, I was convinced you and Ava liked each other."

"Wait, what?" Sophia's eyes widen.

"Yep. And, honestly, Layla was convinced it would be you and Isabel."

"Hold up, what now?"

Sophia goes quiet for moment, before speaking again. "You guys thought I liked Isabel and Ava?"

"Yea," Valentina replies.

Sophia's hand rests on her heart, feeling it start pounding. 'Why is my heart racing?' She thinks. 'Why does the thought of dating them make me happy? I have a girlfriend!'

She could hear Valentina's voice in the background, but doesn't register anything, zoning out. She feels her phone slip from her hand, and hears someone walking up the stairs.

After a few minutes, her brother, Marco, walks into her room. "Sophia, Mom wants you to-..." He trails off. "You okay, sis?"

Sophia snaps out of her thought. "Huh? Oh, yea, I'm fine!"

Marco raises an eyebrow in disbelief, before shaking his head. "Nevermind, I'll do it myself." With that, he leaves, and Sophia picks up her phone again.

"I'm back. Sorry, I just got lost in thought again," She tells her girlfriend.

Valentina nods, before looking out Sophia's window through the camera. "It's getting late, both here, and there. Maybe we should go to bed."

"Yea, you're right," Sophia nods.

"Want to stay on call, or hang up?" Valentina asks.

"Stay on call," Sophia replies, laying down.

In only a few minutes, Sophia drifts off to sleep. 

Valentina follows soon after, once she makes sure her girlfriend is really asleep. "Goodnight, Soph. I love you," she mutters before she falls asleep.
