"We have to retrieve the disc," Taehyung started, "It was made by materials strong enough to protect it from being destroyed due to explosions"

"From what the news said" Jimin spoke, "Officer Kim Namjoon was driving away from the venue taking along a high reputed Mob, when his car exploded"

"But the police must already have searched through the exploded vehicle and taken any valuables left," Hoseok debated.

"What if the disc wasn't with him?" Jungkook said causing the other three people in the room turn their heads to look at him.

"I mean he didn't go straight to the venue after taking the disc from us. He definitely kept it somewhere safe or probably already gave it to someone"

"Right...," Taehyung spoke holding his chin, "From what I know, Officer Namjoon wasn't the type of man to delay things. He definitely passed on the message to someone from the police."

"But why hasn't the police taken any actions in that case?" Jimin raised question, "Just who exactly did he give the disc to??"

"We have to contact someone from the police....we can't even use one of our spies from the syndicate anymore," Taehyung rubbed his temples in stress.

Silence fell over the room as they brainstormed through ideas to carry out. Taehyung suddenly looked him seeming to have thought about a plan.

"Jungkook," he said.

"Yes?"

"Your ex-police records are still in the police archives right?"

"Yeah...they should be"

"We need to take a gamble here"

"What?" Jimin questioned. Worry and irritation evident in his tone.

"You'll have to contact the police chief Min Yoongi and arrange a private meeting between us. Only him and we two."

"Wait wait wait wait" Jimin protested. His brows furrowed in pure discomfort. The man completely disagree with the plan.

"V, do you even realise how risky this is??? What if he shows up with a police force??? You can get arrested"

"I won't. It's not that easy to arrest me. I've even been handcuffed with ten officers surrounding and I escaped from that," Taehyung reasoned, "Even they know that they can't trap with something so predictable and easy to tackle"

"What if you mess up? Even if you've never fallen into a trap, this could be your first time," Jimin argued.

"Park Jimin," Taehyung said in an ordering tons, "Don't underestimate me"

The way Taehyung looked at Jimin was almost like that of V. The real V. Taehyung had been pretending to be the man for so long, that it almost felt like he was becoming him for real. The ruthless criminal V, who secretly had a big heart just like Taehyung did. To bring justice into the state, would Taehyung also have to sacrifice his sanity?

...............................................

Min Yoongi ended up agreeing to meetup with V, or Taehyung as he claimed, at a park near the police station. He agreed to this meet-up in one condition that he could bring a gun and V couldn't bring a single weapon, not even a sharp pencil.

He was contacted by an ex-police cadet named Jungkook about the meetup. Despite hearing such a poorly crafted story from him, Yoongi couldn't let a chance of meeting V and getting to know him personally, slide. Other than that, the imposter plot was good enough for him to narrate to his kids at night as bed-time story.
