December 20th 2018
I was peacefully asleep well, until I heard my phone ringing. Who in the actual HELL would be calling me at 6:00 am? I grabbed my phone and answered the phone before I could say anything I could hear Corey's voice on the other line. "WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU NESS?!? THE PARTY IS IN 1 HOUR AND THE APARTMENT IS A MESS?!?"

"COREY SHEER, IT IS 6:00 AM NOT PM!" I shouted into the phone, which made Corey go quiet. "Sorry, Ness." I hear Corey apologize, "I'll be there in an hour, goodbye Cor." I say before hanging up. Since I was already up I decided to take a shower. Maybe that might make my day better.

I grabbed clothes and a towel then hopped in the shower. The warm water hitting my skin almost instantly relaxed my muscles. I had music blasting from my phone letting the scorching hot water run all over my body, it hurt but it felt good. I looked down at my arm and noticed that my scars were more noticeable than normal.

I got out of the shower around 30 minutes later and of course, my towel was pretty much dyed blue because of my hair. I got changed into a nice pair of jeans and an oversized shirt. I walked downstairs and put on a pair of slippers then walked out.

I decided just to take the stairs to Corey's apartment then once I got there opened the door. When I opened the door, I found Colby and Corey laughing. Great, why did I have to see my ex with no makeup on, random clothes I found, and my hair a bloody mess?
"Hey Ness," Colby mumbled. I ignored him and then asked Corey "Why did you call it a Christmas party when it's just a pizza night?" "Because it's a Christmas pizza night!" Corey responded with a goofy smile, he looked like a little kid.

"It's not even Christmas day yet Corey," I replied before it set in. Christmas was Jahseh's favorite holiday. He never told the internet that because it was personal. It's been 5 months since Vanessa got over it. "Hello?! Ness?!" Corey yelled. "Sorry, what?" I replied as I snapped out of it.

"Can you bake the desserts?" Corey asked with a charming smile. "Fine" I muttered before walking to the kitchen. At this point no one lets Corey bake or cook, not after the last time he gave us all food poisoning. It was about 10 minutes later and I had cookies in the oven when I heard Colby walk up to me.

"Ness, can we talk?" He asked as I felt him sit on the counter. I ignored him and grabbed my phone. "Ness you can't ignore me forever." He scoffed, "It's been almost two years." He added as he turned me towards him. "Just leave alone Colby," I replied before my phone started ringing, I answered and brought the phone up to my ear. "Ness, where are you?" I hear from the other side of the phone. "Shit! I'm so sorry Claire. I'm coming to pick you up right now." I say as I grab my keys and run out the door.
