Part 10

Hyunjin narrowed his eyes. "What are you talking about?"

Tommy scoffed, slipping his hands into his pockets. "You stupid boy. Did you really think we could be friends?"

"What do you want?" Hyunjin demanded, his voice steady.

"You think I'd forget how you got me expelled?" Tommy's smirk turned vicious. "That teacher humiliated me because of you."

Hyunjin turned away. "It was your own fault. I'm leaving."

Tommy's laugh was icy. "Friends, let's remind him who he's dealing with." He raised his voice. "Hey, Sam!"

Hyunjin barely had time to turn before one of the boys struck him hard across the face. The force sent him stumbling as the others closed in.

Emma clutched her phone, her breath coming in shallow gasps. *No, no—Sam!* Tears blurred her vision as she watched the boys swarm Hyunjin.

She had known something was wrong the moment she saw them leave together. *Please, let the police hurry...*

Tommy grabbed Hyunjin by the collar, slamming him against the wall. "You're just Korea's cold little pretty boy, aren't you?" His fist connected with Hyunjin's ribs. "I'll kill you."

Each punch punctuated his words. *"I'll kill you."*

The phrase echoed in Hyunjin's skull, dragging him back—

**Flashback - Eight Years Ago**

His eyes flew open. *This isn't home.*

The room was dim, the air thick with dust. Then it hit him—the kidnapping.

"Felix?!" Hyunjin scrambled up, voice cracking. "Where's Felix?!"

Beol loomed in the doorway, grinning. "Ah, the beautiful boy's awake." He stepped closer; Hyunjin recoiled.

"Where is he?!" Hyunjin shouted, tears burning.

Beol seized his arm, nails digging in. "Last warning. Scream again, and I'll slit your friend's throat." He dragged Hyunjin out. "Move."

Felix woke surrounded by children—some trembling, others blank-eyed. The moment he saw Hyunjin across the room, he lunged forward.

"H-Hyunjin!" He crashed into Hyunjin's arms.

Hyunjin held him fiercely. "Are you hurt?"

Felix shook his head, a tear slipping free. "Where are we?"

Hyunjin's grip tightened. "I don't know."

Around them, guards herded children into separate rooms. By some cruel mercy, they stayed together.

Beol served Jeon Sung—a man who built his empire on stolen children. Those who disobeyed were broken. Literally.

Scars marked half the kids here. Some from beatings. Others from... worse.

Jeon Sung's gaze flicked to Beol, who barked:

"Listen, maggots! You belong to us now. Forget your families. Forget your lives. You work, you obey—or you die"

Felix's fingers intertwined with Hyunjin's. In this hell, they were each other's only light.

**Felix's Home - 6:55 PM**

The table was set with his favorite dishes—now cold. Felix's mother wrung her hands, staring at the untouched food.

"I told you! Felix said he was making a snowman with Hyunjin. But where is he? He's never disappeared like this!" Her voice trembled.
