"Girl," Delilah called Apollo on her drive back home. "You will not believe what happened." She was still shocked by Milo's entire change in personality, "What happened, baby?" Apollo's voice was deep and tired as if he just woke up. "Milo is a complete dick, first off." Apollo could hear the irritation in her voice. "Baby, don't be all mad and driving.." He stretched and yawned. "Oh my goodness, I wish you were there. You should've seen this shit." Apollo nodded his head, "First off, my team." Apollo stared at Delilah's eyes switching from side to side as she drove. "One of them is cool, other two are dicks." Apollo chuckled, "That's why I didn't want to do it. Who are they?"

"The cool one is Bennett Hallowes, and uh," Delilah turned to look in her blind spot and looked back. "The other one is Jason Brown." Apollo furrowed his brows because he didn't know these racers. "And then Micheal Truman. And when Milo announced him on my team he didn't even want to get up, he was embarrassed by me," Delilah yelled, "And guess his ranking," She looked over to her phone to make sure Apollo was still listening. He lifted his brows, "He got sixty-fourth!" Delilah shook her head, putting her eyes back on the road. Apollo chuckled and waited for her to continue rambling. "And he's trying to justify it, saying that he tied with a ton of people. You know who he tied with?" Delilah looked at Apollo again, to which he once again raised his brows. "The fucking people that didn't make it. All he got was the luck of the draw. He shouldn't be calling me that stupid ass nickname." Apollo furrowed his brows, "What nickname?"

"They call me 'Top Pick,' because they think the whole tryout was rigged and Milo just picked who would bring in the most money. If that's what Milo was doing you know who would be 'Top Pick?'" Delilah didn't wait for Apollo's answer. "Elliot Gray," She yelled, "People follow that motherfuck and don't know the first thing about racing, because," She paused. "You know, how he is." Apollo nodded, "Yeah, I know that man is beautiful." Delilah rolled her eyes but smiled. "What spot did Elliot get anyway?" Apollo asked Delilah. "I think he got third, Oliver Berry got second." Apollo nodded his head and turned it into the pillow. "What time will you be home?" His question came out muffled. "Probably two hours," She leaned back in her seat.

"Hey," She said making him turn his head out of the pillow and look at her. "We have to live together." She pressed her lips together, her face giving off complete irritation. Apollo furrowed his brows, forcing her to give more context. "The team," She rubbed her brows without taking her eyes off the road. "You have to live with them," Apollo questioned. Delilah nodded and sighed, "For eight months." Apollo chuckled, "Girl, good luck." He put his head back in the pillow, "Well.." She smiled, making him look at her again with a stern look. "Milo said you can stay there too.." She raised her eyebrows. "I don't want to live with four jack-asses." Delilah rolled her eyes, "Shut up, you're going to." Apollo grumbled into the pillow.

After a few seconds of silence, Delilah spoke. "I can't believe they call me that." Apollo smiled, "Baby, you'll always be the top pick in my heart." He smiled big at the girl who gave him a look of disgust. "Apollo," She paused, "Shut the fuck up."

"Babe!" Delilah closed the door behind her as she walked into the house. She got no response so she yelled out again, "Babe!" Again, no response. Delilah was already on the edge with the email she received while pulling into her garage. She stomped up the stairs, towards her bedroom. She pushed open the cracked door and woke the sleeping Apollo. He furrowed his brows, snuggling his head deeper into the pillow. His long, brown hair covered half of his face. Delilah sat on the edge of the bed and moved the hair out of his face. "Baby," She mumbled, he turned on his back and wrapped one of his arms around her stomach. "Hm?" He still didn't open his eyes. "Look at this email Milo just sent me." She opened her phone and shone the bright white light on his face. He groaned but slowly opened his eyes. He scanned through the email, increasingly waking up with each word. He sat up in the bed, Delilah now pulled her legs onto the bed.

"You have to leave tomorrow morning?" He asked as if he hadn't just read the same email she did. "Yeah, we're staying in the UK!" She dropped her phone on the bed and pressed the palms of her hands against her eyes. "Baby," Apollo grabbed her wrist and gently pulled them down. "I don't think I'll be able to go with you tomorrow." Delilah looked up at him, "Why?" She now had a sad look on her face, making Apollo feel guilty. "I feel so shitty, baby... I haven't even gotten out of bed since you left this morning." Delilah frowned but nodded. "Can you come when you feel better? I don't want to live with them by myself." She turned and laid her head on Apollo's chest.

Apollo kissed the top of her head and then laid it back on the headboard. "I'll be there as soon as possible. I promise."
