I was back on tour with Taylor. The show had ended and me and Jack were back at our hotel. He was watching something on cable and I was just mindlessly scrolling on my phone.
"You know, Trinity told me that she has your new song on repeat," Jack spoke, pausing whatever was on TV.
I felt pretty flatter by his comment before speaking. "Is that so? That's sweet," I gleamed, placing my phone down to the space on the bed beside me.
"Yeah, she said she really loves it. But, she can't compete with me who has your entire discography memorized," he boasts, placing a hand to his chest.
I chuckle softly, "Oh, really? You're that confident?"
"Very confident. I am definitely your number one fan," he continues and I can't help but feel very amused.
"That's why you always have VIP access," I mention, playing along.
He smiles, also enjoying the banter, "Oh, I know. I'm just great like that."
"Anyone ever tell you that you're cocky?" I ask with faux-annoyance.
"Am not!" he gasps, placing his hands up beside his head as if he were defending himself from an attack.
"Right, right. You're just overly-confident," I say, rolling my eyes as I go back to scrolling my phone. I feel his eyes linger on me for a moment longer before he continues to the TV.
