Escape to paradise

Chapter 1

"Bye. Ill miss you so much. Text me everyday," I said to my best friend Katie. My family was moving to Hawaii. My dad got a good job offer there so he decided we were going to move so he can have the job. I didn't want to move. I had amazing friends and I didn't want to leave my boyfriend. We packed everything into the car and said our last goodbyes. I was really going to miss Pittsburg. We just got out of town. 11 hours to go. I texted Katie.

"Hey," I said

"Hey girlie how's the view?" She asked.

"We just got out of town," I told her.

"Oh," she said.

"I'm scared," I told her, what if I don't make any friends. What if I can't find a boyfriend. I don't want to be lonely."

"Nat, what are your afraid of you have gorgeous blonde hair, amazing eyes, and your super skinny. You'll fit right in," she told me.

My name is Natalie but everyone calls me nat. I'm 16 years old .

"Thanks Katie. I g2g I'm super tired and my phone is almost dead.

I turned off my phone and decided to take a nap.

10 hours later

"Nat! Wake up! We're here," I heard my little brother scream. I woke up. It was really sunny and the view was gorgeous. I grabbed all my stuff and went into the house. I asked my mom which room was mine. She told me that it was the on up the stairs and to the left. I walked into the room. My room was huge! And it was my favorite color! My Room was all purple with one turquoise wall. I had a queen size bed and my own bathroom. I saw a set of double doors. That must be my closet, I thought to myself. I opened the doors and figured out that I was wrong. It was a balcony! I walked onto the balcony. Man the view was great. The beach was our backyard. I looked out and saw dolphins doing flips in the water. I took a picture and sent it to Katie. A few seconds later she replied. "Man that's an amazing view," she replied. "Yeah that's the view from my room," I told her. "Lucky," she replied.

I was really bored. I decided I was going to try and tan. I put on my favorite suit, grabbed my Oakley sunglasses, grabbed a towel, and walked out the back door. It was really hot. It was about 95 degrees outside. I layed my towel on the sand and put on my tanning oil. I layed there for about 20 minutes until I heard someone coming. I looked up and found this girl walking down to the beach. She looked about my age. I got and decided to go talk to her. This might be my chance to make a freind. "Hey I'm Natalie I just moved here," I said. "Oh hey. I'm Alissa. I was wondering who the new people were. How old are you? I'm 16," she said. "Oh cool. I'm 16 too. So how long have you live here?" I asked. "About six years," she said. No wonder she's so tan. "So do you wanna take a swim? I could maybe teach you how to surf." She said . "Sure that would be fun," I said. She ran into the ocean and I chased after her. The water felt really nice against my hot skin. We swam for about 2 hours. Then I saw my mom call me in for dinner.

"Bye, ill see you later. Wait!Put your phone number in," I told alissa. Alissa put her number in. I put my iPhone in my pocket then grabbed all my stuff and walked home. I really liked alissa. She was really nice. And pretty. She was super tan and had long black hair. I didn't see her eye color. I wasn't really paying attention. I was walking back and smelled barbecue. I looked over and saw that my dad was making ribs. Yes, I thought. My dads ribs are amazing. I ran home and got changed. I raced down the stairs and fought my brother for the best seat at the dinner table. My dad came in with a big plate of ribs. Mm they smelled so good. I can't wait for him to set

it down on the table. I grabbed two and ate them.. Oooo they were really good. After about 3 I was full. I put my plate in the sink and ran upstairs to my room. I checked my phone and realized that I had 4 missed calls. They were all from Katie.

Chapter 2

I wonder what was going on. Katie never calls me that much. What if someone died?! What if she got hurt. I can't lose my friend. Not now not anytime. She picked up and said hi. But she said it very happily.

"Katie! What's the matter? Is everything okay?!" I aked.

"Yea," she said, "why wouldn't it be."

"Well you called me 4 times. You never call me that much," I told her in an angry and worried voice.

"I was just calling to see how Hawaii was," she said. I hung up on the phone and decided to talk to her like that instead of wasting all my minutes. We talked about Hawaii and the people. I told her about Alissa. After about 10 minutes I looked at the time and realized it was 11:00pm. I needed to get some sleep. I plugged my iPhone into the charger, brushed my teeth and went to bed.

I woke up to the sound of dolphins whistling and birds chirping. I got up and put on my robe. I went outside on my balcony to watch the dolphins jump. They were so cute. One of them jumped about 10 feet high. I walked back into my room and put on my slippers. I walked down stairs and poured myself a bowl of cereal. When I was done I asked my little brother,Alex, if he wanted to go to the beach. He said yea so I told him to go get his swimsuit on. He came racing down the stairs with his swim suit on, sunscreen and goggles.
