Jordyn's POV

Friday

I woke up from my phone ringing knowing it's no one but Roscoe. As much as I enjoy seeing Selene every morning to give her, her black coffee and whatever sandwich she's craving that day, I value my sleep just like I tell my students. "Ciao." I answer still half asleep.

"Hey I just called to warn you that you don't have to come in today. Ian actually came on time today." Thank god.

"Oh ok good. I'm glad. I wouldn't have minded coming but thanks for the heads up. Ci vediamo dopo." I say he says it back and we hang up. I read the time on my phone at it say 6:00 I groan knowing I have to get up at 6:45 to get ready. I close my eyes and next thing I know, Jason is walking in my room searching for my cologne that smells like sandalwood. It's his favorite but he refuses to take it because it's my most expensive bottle of cologne. I don't ever wear it but I haven't given it to him since him coming in tells me he's going to the gym which also means it's 6:40. I check my phone and bingo it just tuned 6:41 once he walks out after telling me he's heading out.

I get up and brush my teeth and wash my face. I go to my closet and put on my red nike sweatsuit with a hoodie that says just do it in black letters and my air forces. I ruffle my hair to look messy purposeful instead of bed like hair. So this is what it's like to be a man. I get done getting ready and grab the protein shake Jason made for me and head to go to the school.

I make it at 7:20 parking by my undesignated parking spot by Selenes car. I grab my duffel and head inside. I do my daily good mornings to the principal and his secretary and then to the lunch ladies as I make my way to the gym to set up for the day. Fridays I don't make a plan. I just let them do whatever while I catch up on my reading. When I get to the gym door, I pause when I see the light on in Selenes office. I walk up and knock softly to announce my presence. "Yes?" She answers.

I walk in and send her a smile as I see her sitting at her desk with those glasses that make my skin shiver. She's wearing a red blouse but I can't tell what she's wearing on her bottoms but I know her ass looks great in them. "Where were you this morning ?" She ask. I forgot I didn't go in to the cafe.,

I smirk at her looking for me. "You missed 'me?" I ask teasing leaning against the door frame. I see her eyes scanning me. She checks me out alot and I only do it when she does it so she doesn't catch me. She's a magnificent woman. Her beauty is out of this world inside and out.

She chuckles and leans back crossing her legs revealing she's wear a white pencil skirt that slides up her thigh when she crossed it. I swallow hard and go back to her face that shows she caught me looking at her. "Missed you? Hm? I guess you can say i was looking forward to seeing you since I've been seeing you all week. But I did forget you don't actually work there, so." She says.

"The guy who's always late, decided to show up so Roscoe didn't need me." I say shrugging.

She nods. "Well it's good to see you now rather than later." She says.

I want to ask her out and I'm confident she'll say yes but I have to end things with Morgan so there's no other variables. "Right. Well I'll let you go. See you for lunch." I say and I walk out. I get to my office in the gym and call Morgan. She works as a nurse at the hospital but she's usually on break at this time. She answers with a high 'baby!' making me cringe. "Uh hey Morgan. Look we need to talk."

"That's never good." She says.

"Look you and I both know, I'll never trust you fully again for us to get back together. I tried but I can't. It's too fresh."

I hear her sigh. "I understand Jordyn. Again I'm sorry. It was a mistake that I'm regretting every day that I can't call you mine. But I understand."

"We're still best friends Morgs. That's something I don't want to lose." I say honestly.
