3rd POV:

Y/N paced around the room impatiently, waiting for news about the mission to reach her. Nobody had informed her yet, as they were all busy.

As if being a part of a gang wasn't already enough, she had the most treacherous role too. Even more crazy than going on a mission to kill or steal from the other gangs.

Her job was to drug and medically torture their captives while she had to treat and nurture her members. Despite being a doctor, who is supposed to live to save people, she lives to harm and sometimes even kill people.

Y/N didn't do this out of her own will. Well, at least not at first as she was captured and forced to by her own people whom she considered friends. Though now she does it willingly because she believes she's drowned too deep into the mess.

The sound of a gunshot caused her to stop moving, not because it startled her, but because it gave her a signal. This meant that someone was coming and she needed to act.

It could either be a friend who's in need of her help or an enemy who's supposed to be taken care of.

Y/N's senses sharpened when she heard a voice from the other side of the room that she was standing in. The door handle started to flick multiple times as she moved closer towards it.

"Who's there?" She asked in a stern voice, being sure not to stutter even by mistake. Any type of falter in her voice would mean that she is scared and that was the worst quality to have in this business. Enemies could easily take advantage of you if you were not confident.

She waited, holding her breath as the person had to answer her. A simple name wouldn't suffice because they were gangsters, which meant that they had to be extra careful.

"Please hurry up, I need cover." The person urgently said and Y/N almost opened the door because of how desperate they sounded.

"First tell me," she held the door knob on her side, tightening her grip so hard that her knuckles turned white, "who are you?"

"River side." The person answered with her gang's code word confirming that they are a safe option.

She briefly exhaled before turning the knob and meeting her visitor.

Y/N almost screamed when their eyes met but couldn't as he rushed inside, gun in hand and captured her, placing his hand over her mouth.

"Mmmm," she tried to break free from the man who now held on to her, a gun placed against her forehead.

"Quiet, don't move." The voice she now recognized said, as he breathed right close to her ear.

Mark Lee slowly removed his hand over her mouth while she obeyed him, staying still and silent. He also retrieved the gun from her forehead then, letting go of her and turning her around to face him.

He was about to say something when Y/N swung her arm towards him in a flash and the gun dropped, landing on the other side of the room.

She lunged for it as he followed right behind her, trying to stop her. Though, Y/N had already caught a hold of it.

"Hands up!" She pointed it towards him, standing up straight. "Don't you dare try anything, or I swear I'll use this!"

"Okay, just relax." Mark raised his hands.
