SYNOPSIS !

it was rare to see a girl succeed in the junior levels of racing. in fact, the last woman to be entered in a formula 1 race was in 1992. but diana rosenthal was another case: not only was she a woman, but also american. diana's dream was to be the first american woman formula 1 driver to ever be signed into the sport. and after twenty-two years, she would finally pursue that dream.

throughout her years of karting and competing in the british formula 4 championships, diana had met many people, including oscar piastri and fellow american driver logan sargeant. while diana and logan quickly became good friends, there was always some sort of tension with oscar. the two seemed to absolutely despise each other for no good reason.

in 2020, diana was teamed with both oscar and logan to race in formula 3 with prema racing. while many would have thought that being teammates would ease the tension, it did almost the exact opposite. the rivalry between oscar and diana on the track would become so tense that even off-track, they were constantly taking shots at each other and insulting each other. poor logan was often caught in between the quarrels and prema, being the serious but also completely unserious team that they are, decided to pair up oscar and diana again for the 2021 formula 2 season, only making things worse between the two with diana finishing second in the 2021 championship, just two points underneath oscar. 

the worst thing about it? since oscar had won, he went on to become a reserve formula 1 driver while diana stayed competing in formula 2. despite being a part of the ferrari drivers' academy, diana was not able to secure an f1 seat until toward the end of her third f2 season, when she was just about to be named champion for the 2023 season. throughout all of this, oscar and diana continued their tense rivalry and competitive conversations over social media, so it was no secret to anyone that they hated each other.

the 2024 season was looming ahead of them, with oscar racing for mclaren and diana racing for the less competitive haas, and there is no doubt that the two will constantly be going head to head on the track, with diana trying her best to scrounge as many points as she possibly could in the car that she has. 

but after a little first turn incident during the bahrain grand prix that resulted in a verbal confrontation between the two drivers, oscar and diana are forced to spend more time with each other, as requested by their managers. will the two decide to put their differences aside for the sake of the sport? or are they willing to let their rivalry become the subject of yet another dramaticized 'drive to survive' plotline?
