V had just returned from a hunt. She was pissed and wanted to sleep, but the scenarios she kept imagining in her head definitely didn't help.
J bullying N again, him standing up for himself, J chaining him to a seat, and other imaginary situations she definitely didn't wanna think about.
Hope it's all just peace and quiet at the pod, I'm not in the mood.
She landed with a loud thump, her wings disappearing on her back, and swung open the pod's door.
"Hey, I'm back!" V tossed a worker corpse in a corner. To her surprise, N wasn't anywhere to be seen.
"Kicked him out, huh?" J raised a digital eyebrow before letting out a laugh that suggested nothing but evil.
"Oh I wish it could be the case, but he's off to see the filthy purple worker again," she said, rotating her seat.
Again? He's becoming way too obsessed.
Choosing not to reply, V sat in the seat opposite J's and picked a notebook from the drawer that seemed to be already used.
Curious, she thought. She flipped through the pages so quickly that she couldn't see what was written in them.
Some pages seemed filled with words while others seemed full of doodles.V knew that the notebook belonged to N - or say she suspected it of belonging to him - but for some reason she just didn't feel comfortable exploring its contents under J's constant stares.
The leader left to feast on the dead body, giving V the occasion to see what kind of stuff did N talk about in that book.
She expected it to be a diary of some kind or anything else but page after page of unsent letters dedicated to Uzi. Pages of doodles of his love interest.
Letters that screamed love, confessions, depression and angst. Letters of sunshines, glory and grace, and others of moons and stars, darkness and thorns.
Letters for the emo, goth grumpy worker girl that stole N's heart, refusing to give it back.Drawings of him and Uzi at prom, doodles of her in her Halloween costume and a few other outfits that must've been the fruits of N's imagination.
Outfits he'd like to see her in..
The female drone was forcing her way through the notebook, unaware of the bitter expression on her face.
Something was pulling inside of her, her chest felt more compressed than ever.It was a mix of anger and hatred and sadness, a desire to lit the world on fire and watch her rival burn in it.
Revenge against the thief who stole what was once destined to be hers from her.V hated to admit it, but she was definitely jealous of Uzi.
She could've had it all, still she lost N's love once and for all, and nothing she could ever do to change that would work.A more violent realization hit her like a sudden slap.
I actually have feelings for N and I hate it because it makes me feel like a fool.
She shrugged her shoulders, heart coated in a bitter sweet feeling she still couldn't get rid of.
Throwing the notebook back where she found it, digital eyebrows knitting together, the female drone didn't even need to imagine how good of a boyfriend N would be.
How amazing and exciting dates would be with him. How it finally wasn't too bad to have a lover who looked like a ray of sunshine but that would turn into the biggest don't-touch-them-or-you're-dead mf ever if someone tried to hurt you.
But more importantly, she had lost someone who actually cared for and loved her.
And she'd probably never get to have that advantage again ever.
Well, Cupid better aim well and stop toying with us next time. Archery gone wrong huh? Or are his divine match maker talents just slowly fading away?
But in the end.. all that matters is seeing N happy. And if chick Uzi can make him feel so, then so be it.
Just at that moment did a delighted N burst in, saluting his two co-workers, earning himself dark looks from his leader.
"Good to see you V!" He said, fist bumping her. V couldn't help but blush a little, covering her face with her hair. The jealousy that consumed her was a bit more difficult to hide tho.
"Well, you're out hunting next!" J said, an accusatory finger pointed at the male. "And get off that seat!"
Obeying her orders, N sat cross legged on the ground, grabbing his notebook and a branded pen on the way, unmindful of the fact that he wasn't the only one who opened that book.
