"momo" my grandma called out to me "yes grandma?" I asked "have a great day at work today and here's your lunch, your favorite. Now off you go" she said with a slight push "thanks grandma I love you so much!" I said as I closed the door coming face to face with my landlord which also happens to be my grandpa "off to work I see?" He asked referring to my scrub attire "yes I am and I'm going to be late !" I exclaimed to him "ok, ok go get em tiger" he said with a smile.

I love my grandparents with my whole heart, they kept my head above water after getting kicked out. I hopped in my mini cooper, tossed my bag in the back and drove off to the nursing home. Gosh how much I hated the old people at this place. they're so mean and crabby. Today was family weekend which means I don't have to pass meds today, that's a plus,but I would have to work the desk which means so many people to interact with.

Today was a slow day, even slower because we were low on staff when everyone is on the schedule today which was horrible. as I sat in my seat Miriam's family came in. "Hello we're here for Miriam." She spoke in the sweetest voice ever "Hi, I'll have someone come and escort you guys to Miriam" I said as I spoke into the mic for someone to escort them to her "thank you" they said as they walked away with coco.

It was 4:50 and my shift was over. But it was time to head to the cafe. I tossed my bag in the bag again and drove to the cafe. I put my hair back in a ponytail to strands in the front walked in and put my uniform on. I was also working the register. "Hello how can I help you today" I said "can I get a Carmel chocolate and vanilla swirl" she said "yes of course" I said walking away to go make her drink. I added the caramel in the cup then blended the vanilla and chocolate and poured it in the cup added whip cream and then the caramel again.

"Twenty-two !" I called out getting her attention. "Thank you." She said "Mhm,now will that be cash or card" I asked "cash" she said casually "Alright,your total is $12.50"
I said. She gave me 15 and told me to keep the change.

The next customer to walk in was dressed in a black suit with golden cuff links. I couldn't help but just stare...  "Hermosa" I heard someone say but I wasn't paying attention. "Hermosa" they say a little Louder "h-huh" I said confused "take his order! Sorry she gets a little distracted sometimes." My boss says to the fine man In front of me. "That's quite alright,I understand" he says flashing me a wink which makes me blush like a fresh tomato.

"Uhm let me get a dozen glazed donuts please" he said. Fuck his voice is so ugh. "Of course  " I said as I walked away to get the dozen for him.  "Here you go" I said handing it to him "thank you..Hermosa" he thanked me. "Will that be cash or card?" I asked "cash" he said "that will be $22.00"  he gave me 50 and told me to keep the change.

The clock struck 9:30 and it was time for me to close. "Attention people Im here to inform you that it is now 9:30 and López cafe is now closed C L O S E D closed good night" I spoke into the speaker.  I went to go change into my scrubs because they were warmer and it was cold. As I walked out I bumped into a hard chest, when I looked up I seen the fine man from earlier. "Hello Hermosa" he spoke "hey" I said "I have to go-" I said but he cut me off "that's ok amore we'll meet again"
