Third POV
"... interesting," He muttered. "And what do I get out of this?" Tira did her best to give a cocky smirk. She wasn't sure what body she would be dealing with, so she couldn't be confident in her survival.
"Well isn't it interesting to see someone who knows everything from the beginning struggle to escape?"
"Only if they're weak."
"And aren't I?" She could feel the conflict coming off of Him. If he agreed he wouldn't have that excuse to deny her wish, her promise. If he didn't then he'd admit she was strong enough to be hesitant about reviving. And never mind his position as a god.
What demon calls a human strong?
"Then I'll place you in a location I deem suitable of your... caliber," he replied after a moment of silence. A door appeared behind Tira and she turned to face it.
"Before you go through, there are a few rules you must follow," he interrupted. Tira stayed still.
"Firstly; you must not reveal the human world to others. Secondly; you cannot mention or talk about your past. And finally; by stepping through this door you agree to let me place a curse on you to make sure you don't accidentally make a slip of the tongue."
"Can I know the consequence?"
"I'll let that be a surprise," he said with a grin. "Do you agree?"
"Say less." Tira walked up to the door and placed her hand on the knob. Her stomach churned as her heart beat wildly.
This was it.
Her second chance.
She pulled the door open to reveal a bright shining white light. As she lifted her foot she paused.
"Hey God," she called out, setting her foot back down atop the water, "will I have to make a promise to get back there? To the human world?"
"No."
"Then can I make a request?"
"I only deal with promises."
"Then I'll make a promise with you. Two, if I can." Tira turned heel and walked away from the open door. Her lips parted and her request slipped through, causing Him to laugh.
"That would make this all the more fun," he contemplated. His finger drummed together before he reached his decision.
"If you want it this badly then you'll have to wait." Tira sighed in relief.
"I have all the time."
Back with Phil and the gang it was night. Phil had just gotten ready for bed and he felt a bit... strange. It was like something was missing, but he wasn't sure what it was. Was it his image of Gilda? No, he knew that about her ever since he caught her staring at the bodybuilders on Instagram. Was it how she so unabashedly just dropped to the ground and sobbed like it was nobody's business? Well, he didn't expect her to go THAT far. He thought she had a bit more decorum to her, but he was proven wrong. Maybe it was because he hadn't seen his friends in a bit. Eitan, Sarah, and Johnathan were coming over tomorrow though!
"... that's not it," Phil muttered, squishing the pillow to his face. He flopped onto his bed and looked up at the ceiling. Maybe he was just tired. He'd think about it in the morning if the feeling persisted. He closed his eyes and soon fell right on top of some water.
"Where is this?" He questioned, looking around. There was nothing but a sunny sky, clouds, and a vast sea of water underneath. Phil hesitantly stood up, his arms instinctively coming around his body.
"Phil?" He spun around and saw a girl with brown hair and purple eyes. She looked a bit like mama, just as a kid.
"Who are you?" He questioned. The girl opened her mouth, but shut it just as quickly. A sad smile appeared on her face, confusing Phil even more.
"I guess you could say a distant memory."
