Izuku was the only omegan boy in the village. Alphas and betas of all ages fought for his love. He was rare and he knew that, but he paid no mind as he rejected all the men and the occasional women. He was finally at peace when the townsfolk started realizing they had no chance. But his peace didn't last long.
Their village was just one of the many inside of their kingdom, Emerald Ecipsia. They got along fairly well and their king took wonderful care of them. They all lived mediocre lives, with no people on the street and everyone having food on their table. Their kingdom was thriving from the land having excessive amounts of rare emeralds in perfect condition. They had no enemies and equal alliances with the neighboring nations, everything was great.

"Izuku!" Inko called loudly for her son down in the living room. "Yes, mom? What's wrong?" Izuku responded coming down the stairs and finding his way onto the couch next to his mother. "Mail came from you, I'm guessing another courtship," Inko said handing the crisp white envelope to the shorter male. Courtships were a way for alphas to confess and show their attraction to someone, letters being a common way. A quick 'Gross mom...' was what Izuku muttered under his breath before his eyes widened in shock at the sender's address. "Mom... this is from the castle!" Izuku screamed before ripping open the letter and quickly reading the neat letter in confusion. "What does it say, Honey?" Inko said peering over the boy's shoulder to get a look. "I have to go to the castle in 3 days, but it doesn't say why..." Izuku said looking at his mom and handing her the note. "Hm.... it doesn't say the reason, but it does say 'Failure to attend results in punishment in a court of law'..." Inko said reluctantly. "It doesn't say a lot of things, Dear. Fails to note how long you will be attending but only when to show up. What you need and how to dress." Inko said to the smaller boy worried for the safety of her son.
"I'll just have to do my best!" Izuku said smiling optimistically. He wasn't sure what was going to happen but he was excited to see the castle in person, and not just in the distance of his bedroom window.

The day before his appearance at the castle he told his friends about the suspicious note and his excitement to see and enter the castle. His bipolar emotions arguing with each other stopped him from figuring out how he felt about the situation he was scared and ecstatic at the same time. He was determined to make a good impression on the king and queen.
"You're right... it's almost like it's not from the castle?" Ochako said looking at the letter from the palace. She handed the letter to Shoto who reached over and watched as he had the same reaction as she did. "It's definitely from the castle I can tell by the stamp, but I don't know what it's about," Shoto said to Izuku. Shoto was the prince of the kingdom but disliked his father, the king, for past abusive reasons. So he found comfort in his best friends who were townsfolk. It was frowned upon but he didn't care as much as he cared for them, he also enjoyed disobeying his father for the hell of it.
"Awe man I was sure you would be able to know of all people- Not like that Shoto you know we love you for you!" Izuku said worried but Shoto quickly shot it down. They did this often and reassured Shoto that they loved him and accepted him not only because he was the prince, but as their close friend. Shoto knew this and got annoyed when they thought he thought this way. "Sorry Roki..." Izuku apologized while Shoto assured him it was all right and continued with their main topic of discussion.
