The first day after my mom picked up Anakin, I watched the saddest romantic movies on the couch in the living room and that had been going on for a week.
My mom brings me freshly made food and then leaves again, it's been like that for a week and today is the second week and I still haven't heard from Hayden. I know I was the one who told him to go away, but a phone call would have given me hope.

Exhausted from the two weeks of sadness and loneliness, I showered and got dressed, even put on makeup and did my hair. I cleaned the house and went to the gynecologist, the doctor is exactly the same one who treated me when I was pregnant with Anakin.
After that I sat with my parents for a few hours and went for a walk with Anakin and Poppy and then we went home.
My breath catches in my throat as Hayden sits on the porch, his head bowed. He raises it when he hears Anakin's voice, who immediately recognizes his father and raises his arms.
He gets up from his chair, walks down the few steps and unbuckles Anakin from the stroller and lifts him up. Anakin puts his face in the crook of his father's neck and my heart warms.
I walk past him in silence. He hesitates when he wants to come in, but he comes in anyway. I put the stroller in the hallway and take off my shoes.
"Aleia, can we please talk?" asks Hayden and follows me up to the bedroom.
"There's nothing to talk about, Hayden," I say.
"I'm sorry. I'm really sorry, Aleia." His voice trembles.
"Stop." I say. "Stop apologizing, you hurt me Hayden. You're my husband, you shouldn't hurt me like that."
"What should I do to make you forgive me?" he asks and comes towards me with Anakin.
"Don't have any more contact with Sheila." I say.
He nods. "Okay, if you forgive me, then I won't have any more contact with her."
"It won't be easy to forgive you." I say quietly.
He nods again. "I'll do anything, really anything, for you so that you can forgive me."
This time I nod and wipe away the tears that fall from my eyes. Anakin wriggles out of his father's grip and I take him, he snuggles up to me.
"Can... can I stay here?" he asks and I know he means that he doesn't want to be separated from us and wants to live with us.
I hesitate but say: "Yes. But you will stay in the guest room."
"Anything you want."
At night I toss and turn, I can't sleep because Hayden is sleeping in the other room opposite me. Anakin is lying peacefully next to me, recently he hasn't wanted to sleep in his bed but with me, which I think is pretty okay.
The door to the guest room opens, it always makes a strange noise, I know that Hayden is standing in front of the bedroom door and wants to knock, his footsteps echo in the hallway, I squeeze my eyes shut.
There's a knock, I hold my breath, my heart races in my chest Anakin snores quietly next to me Hayden opens the door, he comes in and sits down next to me.
I open my eyes and look at him, we both look into each other's eyes.
"I... I told Sheila that we shouldn't have any more contact," he says.
"Oh," I say and sit up, he notices my look. "What... what did she say?" I ask.
"She didn't take it well, but that doesn't matter to me because I care about you, Aleia." He strokes my hair gently.
