Father Hannibal

"Mano vaikas! Join me downstairs, please!" You heard your father yell as you walked downstairs and saw your father preparing dinner.

"I'm having some guests over tonight, I'd like you to join us so make sure you wear something nice alright?" He said as you smiled and nodded.

"Is Will coming?" You asked making him chuckle softly.

"Yes, Will is going to be there." He said with a smile, he knew you had grown quite close to the man, but he didn't mind.

"Do I get to eat what everyone else is having?" You asked tilting your head as Hannibal sighed.

"Y/N, we have been over this many times." He said as you crossed your arms and pouted.

"But, it looks so yummy." You muttered making him chuckle and knelt down to hold your face.

"I know, mano vaikas. This stuff is just a little grown up for you, I prefer you to eat something a little better for your age, alright?" He said calmly as you sighed and nodded.

"Yes, tėvas." You muttered as he smiled and kissed your forehead.

"Good girl."

You sat at the table as Will, Hannibal and Jack spoke to each other.

"And how about you, Y/N? How is school going?" Jack asked as you looked up and smiled.

"It's good! I'm almost fluent in Lithuania now, and I just started algebra." You said as his eyes widened.

"That is very impressive, but I shouldn't be shocked as your father is very talented." He replied making you smile politely.

The night went on like usual and Hannibal sent you off to bed as they began to drink some wine together.

Late at night you were shaken awake by someone, you groan and sat up to see Will.

You rubbed your eyes and yawned.

"Will? Is everything okay?" You muttered tiredly.

"Why don't you ever eat what your father eats?" He asked in a panic as you looked at him in confusion.

"Father says it's because it's grown up food." You said as he looked around in thought.

Suddenly your door opened and you looked up to see you father.

"Will? Would you care to explain?" He asked, his face dangerous.

It was a look you'd never seen before.

"I was on my way to the bathroom and I heard Y/N calling out in her sleep." He said as you looked at Will and then to your father.

"Is this true, Y/N?" Your father asked as you continued to stare at him.

You felt Will grab your wrist and squeeze painfully tight.

"Yes! Yes, I was having a nightmare." You muttered as he nodded.

"Very well. Will, I can handle this. I think it's time you head home." Hannibal said before Will stood up and nodded.

"Sleep well, Y/N." Will muttered before he left you alone with your father.

Hannibal knelt down at the side of your bed and looked at you.

"I don't enjoy lying in my household, so I'm giving you one more chance to tell me the truth. Why was Will in here?" He asked, his voice low.

You couldn't lie to your father, you never could.

"Is Will going to get in trouble?" You whispered as Hannibal smiled softly, he knew you never wanted to be the reason someone else got hurt.

"No, he won't be in trouble. I just want to know because I need to make sure you're safe, alright?" He asked, holding your hand as you nodded.

"He woke me up and asked me why I don't eat what you eat and I told him it was because it was grown up. I'm sorry I didn't tell you, he was scaring me..." You replied making your father sigh softly.

"That's alright, mano meilė. You've told me the truth now which is what matters, my good girl." He whispered missing your forehead.

"Can you read me a story before I sleep again?" You whispered, causing Hannibal to smile softly.

"Of course, Y/N"
