"This is tragic!" Summer laughed as she swiped through Johnny's dating profile that him and Miguel had set up. "I think it's cool." Miguel shot back defensively, snatching his phone out of his hand before shoving it into his pocket.

Despite Summer's hatred for rollerblades and roller blading rinks, Miguel had somehow convinced her to leave her house to come to an 80's themed night at the local rink, claiming she could see her new found friend, Tory Nichols, the girl having got a summer time job there.

Summer was dressed clad in neon pink tights, a bright blue leotard placed carefully over the top and large earrings in her ears. Her hair was curled to perfection, not a strand out of place. Her makeup was bright, but not bright to the degree where she looked like a moron like half the people in the roller rink.

"Of course you think it's cool, you're a guy." Summer scoffed, sliding across the floor alongside Miguel as both teenagers tried to spot Tory amongst the crowd. "No woman is falling for that."

"He's actually on a date right now." Miguel shrugged nonchalantly, his reply resulting in his best friend skidding to a halt out of her shock, her mouth hanging as she stared open eyed at the boy.

"God, where are people's self respect these days?"

Miguel rolled his eyes, shoving the girl slightly before heading off into the direction of where he had spotted Tory, talking to two customers with an empty tray in her hand.

"Yeah, well, not all of us get to use daddy's credit card." Tory spat bitterly, Summer widening her eyes. If that's how the girl spoke to customers, she definitely didn't get many tips.

"What time do you go on break? I want to time it right so the fries are extra crispy." Miguel spoke as he approached Tory, Summer not too far behind him.

Summer opened her mouth to complain about the grease, but clenched it shut when she saw that the two customers Tory was bad mouthing were, in fact, Robby and Sam.

Why were they suddenly everywhere?

Tension hung in the air as all five teenagers glanced uneasily at each other. It seemed almost ironic, five teenagers battling over karate whilst dressed in 80's themed costumes, mirroring a story they had all heard from their Sensei's.

"Hey, I didn't recognise you." Miguel began, taking off the black pair of glasses that Summer had bullied him relentlessly about on the drive over to the roller blading rink. His eyes were trained on Sam, not noticing how Tory was quick to realise the longing glance shared between the ex lovers. "I dig the costumes."

"Thanks." Sam bit out in return, her tone unimpressed as she hesitantly tore her eyes from Miguel. Summer glanced between the two exes, before her eyes snapped over to Robby. The boy was already looking at her, the memory of their talk after the mall fight weighing heavy on their consciouses as they stood on opposite sides of the same war.
