Located among the Gangwon Province's rolling hills, Silver Ridge International Academy is a model of high-end education in South Korea. The large site, spanning fifty acres, features a unique blend of modern luxuries and traditional Korean architecture. Modern classrooms with glass walls and red-brick structures with tiled roofs blend together to create a space where creativity and history coexist.

The center of the campus is the central courtyard, which is covered with well-kept gardens and a koi pond. The paths are surrounded by cherry blossom trees, which provide a lovely sight in the spring. At the northern end of the courtyard sits the three-story main academic building, which houses state-of-the-art science labs, a robotics center, and a large library.

The Olympic-sized swimming pool, multipurpose sports hall, and 5,000-seat outdoor stadium are located on the eastern side of the athletic complex. Right to the west, the arts wing has a state-of-the-art symphony theater, natural-light art studios, and a music hall furnished with international instruments.

SRIA is well known for its exclusivity as well as its high level of education. Children of South Korea's elite, including heirs to large businesses like Samsung, Hyundai, and LG, make up the bulk of the school's student body. The annual tuition rates, which can exceed 50 million KRW (about $40,000 USD), guarantee that admission is limited to families with strong financial resources.

A small but dedicated group of students stands out among the greatness. Less than 5% of the student body consists of these students who receive scholarships. These students admission to SRIA is a result of their outstanding academic performance at public schools around the nation. Their scholarships provide a lifeline allowing them to attend the same top-notch university as their more wealthy peers by paying for both tuition and basic living expenses.

These scholarship recipients do not, however, have an easy ride. They frequently experience social injustices and subtly discrimination from those who are richer. Many of these students do not make it through the years due to the harsh conditions some other students but them through. Although this went unnoticed by people outside the walls of the school, it was definitely noticed by the people coming from the inside.

"Recognized for its excellent academic standing and selective enrollment, Silver Ridge International Academy is about to launch a ground-breaking project: the introduction of its first exchange student program. The academy's mission to develop future leaders with a broad and welcoming worldview is in line with this program's goal of promoting global understanding and cross-cultural exchange."

"Who will be the first lucky exchange student from across the world?"
