I sat in the peaceful serenity of our bedroom, the dim light of the bedside lamp casting a gentle glow over the room's luxurious decor. Glancing at the clock, I noted the late hour as I waited for Rudraksh to join me. Since our recent marriage, a subtle but undeniable distance has grown between us, leaving me uncertain and longing for closeness.

When Rudraksh finally entered, his presence both comforted and worried me. His usual confident demeanour was tinged with restlessness, which didn't go unnoticed. I stood up, offering a tentative smile as I approached him.

"Hey," I greeted softly, hoping to break through the unspoken tension.

Rudraksh returned my smile briefly before turning away, his mind clearly elsewhere, absorbed in troubling thoughts. I sensed his withdrawal, a familiar ache settling in my chest.

"Is everything okay?" I asked gently, my voice tinged with concern.

He hesitated, his gaze distant. "Yeah, just work stuff," he replied curtly, his tone dismissive.

I nodded, though my worry only deepened. I wanted to reach out, to understand what troubled him, but his guarded demeanour held me back.

As we sat down for dinner, the weight of our unspoken thoughts hung heavily between us. I tried to engage Rudraksh in conversation about our upcoming trip to San Francisco, hoping to reconnect through shared excitement. But he remained distant, his mind clearly preoccupied.

Later that night, as we prepared for bed, I slipped under the covers, my thoughts swirling with the complexities of our new marriage. I loved Rudraksh deeply, but his emotional distance left me feeling adrift. In the quiet of our shared bedroom, I lay awake, the steady rhythm of Rudraksh's breathing a comforting presence beside me.

The private jet descended gracefully into San Francisco, and as we disembarked, the cool breeze of the city welcomed us. Rudraksh wore a sleek charcoal suit that complemented his reserved demeanour, while I opted for a simple yet elegant jumpsuit, feeling a blend of excitement and anticipation for our time ahead.

We arrived at our hotel, a luxurious haven with sweeping views of the bay. That evening, we settled into a private table at a renowned vegetarian restaurant known for its innovative plant-based cuisine and panoramic cityscape.

I wore a navy blue dress that fell just below the knee, paired with delicate silver jewellery that caught the evening light. Rudraksh had changed into a tailored black suit with a crisp white shirt, his demeanour still composed but with a touch of understated elegance.

As we sipped on refreshing drinks, the soft glow of candlelight creating a serene ambiance around us, I leaned forward slightly. "Rudra, tomorrow's going to be busy for you with business matters. Have you thought about how we'll manage our time?"
