Thank you! I never thought dancing together with you like this could be so much fun!

She did dance in the rain. A simple smile drew on his face.

He got up and walked outside his shelter. The cold drops of rain fell all over him.

He stood upright and raised his hands to his side, making a pose as if he is preparing to dance the waltz.

Yet even as the rain continued to shower him with its splendour, he remained still.

A feeling of sadness suddenly grew inside him,

Why do I even bother? His dark brown hair almost covering his eyes,

Why am I doing this? His lean body almost visible from the entirely wet clothes he wore,

I can't dance anymore. He looked up to the sky and closed his eyes.

He wished the rain would wash away the pain he started to feel, the memories he started to remember, and the words he started to whisper. Tears seemed to fall but they got lost in the rain.

For a moment he thought he saw her right in front of him.

She was waiting for him to invite her to dance.

I'm sorry.

He walked pass by her mirage and went back in his shelter. He lied down on the floor with his drenched figure, reached for his phone, selected and played a song, and turned the volume to its loudest. The music filled the entire room even amidst the clamouring rain. Yet even with the beautiful melody, he remained motionless, his expression, hopeful yet sad.

I can't hear any music.

He already knew he won't hear anything.

He already knew he was deaf.

But he was hoping for a miracle that maybe the symphony of the rain would break away the silence.
