Atlas liked his roommate Renier,  he wasn't a slob,  and didn't come out of his room enough to annoy him,  as Atlas really enjoyed his space.  Which doesn't often work out well when you're sharing an apartment with someone..  but he liked Renier enough to greet him when he did leave his room.  That wasn't too often since Renier worked from home and had somewhat of an aversion to the light..

-

It was a typical Friday night where Atlas was doing the cooking with a very limited variety of groceries to work with.. Renier had always complained about being allergic to peanuts, dairy, coconut ect. And was 'suspicious about what they put in the tap water' so whenever Atlas had to make dinner it was an extremely tedious process where he had to be careful about what he put in the food

It was just starting to get dark outside, and Atlas was preparing garlic bread to go with the roast he was making

He suddenly heard the door to Reniers' room fling open, and out walked the pale, monotonous individual with a cross look on his face

"Stop what you're doing. Is that garlic? I can smell it from my room, it's making me sick"

Atlas groaned and turned to face Renier "should I add that to the endless list of things you're allergic to? A bit of garlic bread won't kill you."

"You don't know that. I could have a reaction by the end of the night and you'd be to blame for it. Then at my funeral you'll be saying 'damn I should've listened to Renier, now he's dead and it's all my fault" "

"You're a hypochondriac" Atlas turned back to the knife on the counter in an attempt to pick it up and resume chopping the garlic

Renier gently grabbed Atlas' wrist and looked at him apologetically

"I'll let you make it. Just don't serve me any, okay? I really hate garlic"

Atlas sighed and freed his wrist from Reniers' grasp, resuming his preparations

"You need to learn to try new things. This kind of picky eater business won't do you any good."

Renier sat down at the dining table "I'll try new things, just not tonight. Maybe another night."

Atlas rolled his eyes and placed the bread in the oven

-

During dinner, Renier looked extremely uncomfortable. As the minutes passed, Atlas could tell Renier was gently pushing the plate of garlic bread away from himself, at that point, Atlas gave in and took both pieces of garlic bread off the plate and onto his own

"Happy? It's away from you and I'm gonna eat it all."

"Very"
