Soulmates aren't always romantic. Truly, a soulmate can be more powerful in the form of a platonic bond between two friends who stand together through whatever came their way. A platonic soulmate knows you better than anyone would, someone who pays attention to the smallest detail and treated it as though it was a brightest star in the sky. This was how Bella Swan knew that Honey Parker was her platonic soulmate, simply by the fact that her very presence seemed to wash away the shadows that lurked her mind since he left her behind. Honey knew her boundaries with Bella, she didn't ask about him unless Bella initiated the topic herself.

Honey wasn't a distraction but a guide to help her stumble her way through the murky waters of her mind until she reached the clear rivers she once knew. And of course, Honey was able to amuse and bring a smile to Bella's face when the blonde walked out of her room wearing whitewash jeans with a baby blue sweater over a white floral button-up shirt and some ankle boots. "Why does the cold weather have to ruin my plans to wear a dress?" Honey whined making Bella shake her head, she was dressed in black jeans with a random long sleeved shirt and her usual beige jacket. "You'll get used to it," Bella replied to her, she had to admit that the bright colours weren't common in town but somehow, Honey made it work.

Saying bye to Charlie who already looked less exhausted, the two eighteen year olds heading out and got into Bella's truck. The brunette had switched the heating on while Honey looked around the town in awe. "Honestly, I was always one to obsess over small towns like this in movies and books and now seeing it in person, it may have gotten worse," Honey expressed to Bella, she laughed a little at that. "Well, I always pictured you to be more of a small town girl anyway," Bella told Honey who beamed taking the words as a compliment, which was Bella's intention. "So the diner for breakfast?" Honey suggested, she was itching to try some of the pancakes that Charlie talked about in the past.

With the plan to have breakfast at the diner, they headed there and made their way inside the building. Honey stood out, Bella could tell and she was beginning to notice how dull the town really was in colour compared to the bright girl standing next to her. "Oh, hello Bella," A woman greeted the brunette, clearly stunned seeing her up and walking around having heard her condition from Charlie when he picked food up. "Hey Cora. Uh, this is Honey Parker, my best friend from Arizona," Bella introduced the blonde to the woman. "It's nice to meet you, Cora," Honey greeted politely. "I've heard about you, welcome to Forks, dear," Cora replied with her own smile, she already liked Honey, "Please take a seat and I'll be right with you."

The girls nodded and Bella grabbed Honey's hand in her own, leading her to the table she usually sat at with Charlie. "This place really needs some more colour to it," Honey commented unaware that Bella was just thinking it, she was stunned for a moment before she shook it off. "Uh, yeah, it does," Bella agreed verbally. "What to have for breakfast?" Honey muttered as she looked at the menu, she smiled at the sight of choc chip pancakes with ice cream and berries. "Oh, I'm getting that," Honey pointed out to Bella who looked over and smiled. "Sounds nice. I'm gonna get some french toast," Bella replied and though Honey wanted her to eat more, she wouldn't push the girl so she smiled and nodded her head happily.
