CHAPTER 26

"Luna, it seems Alpha is not coming now. You should go to sleep now. He asked you to sleep early and not to wait for him before he leaves, didn't he?" I sighed and moved away from the door as l looked at Jeongyeon who was here to protect me and Ayaan while Jungkook was away. I watched her pleasant and muscular figure not knowing what to say.

How does she know that Jungkook asked me to sleep early and not to wait for him? Oh... maybe he had told the same thing to her before leaving. I bit my lower lip and hesitated to go and sleep. I felt that he would come so I wanted to wait for him. But I don't think I will get permission to stay awake anymore with her looking at me as if I was a child who didn't want to sleep even after the night arrived.

"Luna, please..." She said again letting out a deep sigh.

"Fine! But I'm not sleepy" I struggled to stay awake although I was feeling sleepy. My words made Jeongyeon smile. She shook her head and spoke.

"You are sleepy, Luna. I can see it" I finally lowered my head, defeated. She's no different from Jungkook as she acts like him. I made my way towards the stairs wanting to go to Ayaan and sleep with him since Jungkook was not coming but suddenly a question appeared in my mind which halted my steps and faced Jeongyeon. She was watching my movements carefully while standing a few feet away from me. She's making sure if I go to sleep or not. This is crazy but this is what Jungkook did before leaving.

"Have you found your mate, Jeongyeon?" I asked her. Her eyebrows raised upwards. Her eyes roamed all over my face and then she smiled with a nod. Oh... she has found so her mate must be alone at home tonight because she's here.

When I was about to ask her to leave if she wanted to go to her mate, she cut me off with a few shocking words that I'd never heard before.

"My mate is a woman." I felt my eyes becoming big and my lips parted. I stared at Jeongyeon as if I'd seen a ghost or heard a ghost. My expression must have been a funny one to her because she chuckled. Her mate is a woman? That could be... because she's like a man. The only difference is her womanly face. What can I say? I've never heard this before. How can a woman have a mate in the same gender? My mind tried to process it but I failed. This is not something that I've expected to hear.

"How? How is it even possible?" I stepped towards her with curiosity bubbling in my chest.

"It is possible Luna. But I don't know how to explain it to you" She smiled.

How does she look so cool with it? A woman? Is she a mate? How come? And how is she going to complete the mate bond? To complete the bond, we should have sex with our mate but how is she going to have sex? My whole mind turned upside down with this question. I couldn't help but stare at Jeongyeon not knowing how to understand any of the things that she was saying to me. My mind recalled the way both I and Jungkook completed the mate bond between us as he marked me. That was... that was something a woman can only have with a man. What about Jeongyeon and her female mate? How are they even going to do anything? Urgh... I sighed and decided not to think about those things anymore but I failed. I can't help but think about it... is she satisfied with the thing she got? I'm annoyed!

"Are you happy? I mean... are you satisfied with it? Your female mate? This is such a weird thing for me to hear!" I shook my head. I don't know if I was hurting her feelings or not but I'm just utterly shocked.

"I'm satisfied with her. After all, I like women. I don't feel anything towards men. After training and being with men all the time, I find going home to a woman is better. Just like Alpha comes to you after a tough day, Luna. There are different kinds of people and I'm one of them. I'm glad that my mate is a woman and I love her so much. She does the same..."
