Motherly Machiavellianism

Ursula's scheming skills were next level. Even then, Dalilah concluded that she was not working alone. This was a group effort to destroy her and her loved ones. She consulted another psychic reader who reconfirmed what Mato had said and explained that this was a craft that ran in Usula's family for generations, possibly even centuries. The energy that came through was purely Devil energy.

Just like Lucifer himself, she, and other family members, had the ability to read anyone's mind, to communicate with them, even without their knowledge, and to see through their eyes. They could put the Devil's energy in the food and drink that people had in their homes without needing to be there in person. It all worked via energy work. If they were dealing with people who were just a little fragile, they could bring down their demise through constant energy cobra bites. Dalilah recalled how one day, while she was visiting her parents, practically all of the food that was on the table tasted off. It had all gone bad, just like that, for no justifiable reason. At the time, Dalilah was convinced that Josh was using deadly energy work to poison her entire family. She was in shock. Ursula was talking to her as her son and confirming to her that Josh was attempting to kill them all. Dalilah wondered how she could go through her day with that kind of information being given to her by a demon. There was only one answer: Prayers, prayers and more prayers.

In due time, Dalilah realized that Josh was like his father, Daniel. Mato had told her that Daniel had blocked Ursula's demonic possession of him. He realized who he was married to, had cut off her energy and left. Daniel had his own struggles, certainly made worse by Ursula's psychic attacks but he was fundamentally a good person. Thankfully, Josh was taking after him and was not part of The Cult of Lucifer as Dalilah was now calling them. In fact, he was targeted by their black magic to remain under control. Mato had described him like a man in chains. The demons around him manipulated him and wanted only one thing from him: Money.

As time went, Dalilah realized that the members of the family of demons  were not equal in power. There was a hierarchy amongst them and not all had access to the exact same abilities. Ursula was a high ranking officer, a pro. Suffice it to say that se had her whole community fooled into believing that she was this funny, a bit simple minded, pious woman, albeit a tad xenophobic and overly nationalistic. The way she approached Dalilah to attempt to possess her demonically and try to take her money was worthy of international chess championships. She had seen that Dalilah and Josh had some very solid past lives as siblings as well as spouses. In both situations, they adored one another. The universe had brought them together through social media, and now they were becoming friends. According to Ursula, after several years, they were bound to become more than friends. This was meant to happen in divine timing, though she had not used those words. So she decided with Rachel, Rachel's father, David, Josh's son, Seth and the rest of the family that followed her ways to ruin that budding friendship. The idea was to use black magic in order to introduce premature feelings of attachment that had no justification in real life. Those feelings would be confusing to both. They would also be totally unworkable since both of them were in committed relationships at the time. None of them was even remotely considering leaving their partner. The spellwork would increase the exchange of messages between the two of them. Then, they would then all scream murder, starting with the wife, Rachel, who was part of the scheme from day one.

There was more. They would proceed to blackmail Josh as it seemed that he had written some journal entries about his interactions with Dalilah. Although they were fairly innocent, Ursula's family believed that they were enough to tarnish both their reputations since they were both from conservative communities. They counted on Josh's sense of honor. He would try to protect Dalilah and himself and cave in. In reality, Dalilah would not want him to cave in. She knew that she was no perpetrator in this evil plot. If any proof of blackmail reached her or her family, she would take it and run to the police. All she needed was a material proof of what she had been subjected to for the last two years, and this would be plenty. Dalilah made that clear to Ursula, who tried to threaten her too with blackmail. It looked like Josh had either stood his ground, or they needed more money than what he could give. They wrongly believed that they could scare her into surrendering her bank account balance. Dalilah laughed at Ursula. She was delusional is she thought that Dalilah was afraid of them. Right now, the time for chock and awe was over. She stood in her power, and that's what they kept failing to understand.
