The wizard and The Princess || Howl X Reader

It was 2am in the morning and I had grown bored as I couldn't sleep, I tried reading but it didn't work, I laid in my bed in boredom. But when I came up with an idea, I got out of bed and put my cape on. I was going to sneak out the castle to go on a walk, I usually can't go out by myself because it's to "dangerous" but I saw nothing dangerous. I opened my door and closed it behind me, and I ran through the hallway. It was dark, but there were windows, so the moonlight technical was my light for now. I snuck out through the garden. It was big, but no guards were down near the garden. I walked through the garden, and it was beautiful seeing the fireflies and all the flowers. I finally got out of the castle, and I was finally free.
I walked around the town, and it was pretty big. I never actually realized how big Kingsbury was. I walked down an alleyway, and I could feel someone was watching me. I turned around to see if anyone was there. I get a bit scared, but I toughened up. I kept walking and I bumped into something, I got knocked off of my feet and I looked up it was an old man. "Ha, what's a pretty girl like you doing out here during this time~" the man spoke, I looked at him, and he leaned against the wall. I get up and brush the dirt that was on my. "Um, sorry for bumping into you, sir," I said he looked at me and gave me a smirk "Ha its alright, ya know. I say you should come back to my house darling~" The man started walking towards me and I got a bit scared but then I felt a hand on my shoulder. "There you are, sweetheart. I was looking all over for you." I heard a voice, and I looked up, and it was a tall blonde man. "Hey, I'm busy here, fella!" The man argued. "Hmm, are you really? It looks like to me you were just about to leave, " the tall man said, and the other guy ended up leaving. I was shocked and I looked at him. "Oh, um, thank you." The tall man looked at me, and he gave me a small smile. "Not a biggy, but may I ask?" I look at him, and I raise my eyebrow slightly."Why are you out so late?" The man asked "oh I just couldn't sleep, that's all, and I decided to go on a walk, but my plan didn't really work" the tall man looks at me and he nod his head "well I'm glad I came here in time otherwise he would of taken you" I nod as he was right i would of got taken away. "Not to sound rude or anything, but what's your name??" I ask the tall blonde head guy he looked at me."My name is Howl Pendragon. " My eyes widen. I met a wizard. "Oh please, to meet you, Howl." I say Howl looked at me and smiled."And what is your name pretty face?" I chuckled."My name is Princess Y/n." Howl eyes widen, it almost looked like he saw a ghost, he bowed. "It's an honor to meet you, Your Highness!" I chuckle, and i curtsey. "I must say you are very gorgeous in person, my lady.." I stood straight back up, and I started to blush "oh you really think so?" I said, he nods his head. "Yes, indeed, you are my lady." I softly laughed."I should take you home, I'm not letting you go home alone after what just happened with that guy. " I look at him, not wanting to be a burden or anything. "Are you sure?? You don't have to!" I said Howl nodded his head "yes I insist!"I gave up."Alright then, if you say so." Howl smiled, and he wrapped his arm around mine. We walked through the city. "This is boring walking around the city. I have another way to get you home." I look at Howl in confusion. I then felt him wrap his arm around my waist, and we started running. "Hold on, princess." I looked at him in a worry. "What are you doing!!" He then jumped, and we were in the air, I looked down, and I was frightened that we might fall "don't worry we won't fall, just straighten your legs and start walking" I then listen to him and it was really easy. "That's it! You're doing it, " I smile.

We got to my and he placed me down on my balcony "well I must get going, princess, have a good night sleep, and next time, don't go walking around at 2am in the morning" I nod and he let go of my hand. "Alright, goodnight, princess." he then flew downwards, and I ran and looked over the balcony, and he was gone. How interesting, I got tired at the end and I went inside, I took my cape, and shoes off and I flopped on my bed and I ended up falling asleep.
