'Open'

Han Jea/Nania's lips slightly opened seeing that Damien was not letting anything cause a wedge or misunderstanding between them that would separate them.

'Ah...!' (Han Jea/Nania's inner thoughts)

Yes, this was the current Damien, not the one she had seen.

'Close'

"...." (Han Jea/Nania)

'Clench'

'Tremble, Tremble'

But even so, why were her words not coming out?

Was she scared of him?

Or was she afraid of what she had seen?

No, perhaps it was her heart that had been scared, broken, and stepped on...

Whatever it was at the moment no words came out her mouth closed as she looked down grabbing the duvet covers while her hands shivered with a mixture of emotions.

She didn't say anything for what seemed to be three minutes only feeling Damien's awaiting stare.

He wasn't rushing her to answer but he wasn't moving until she said something.

'Tremble, Tremble'

But even if her lips tremble she had to say something.

He was clearly being patient and understanding but coming out of that heartbreaking and horrible nightmare the memories are bound to stick and the habits naturally come to defend herself.

She didn't mean to snatch her hand away from him, she didn't mean to avoid him, and she didn't mean to want to be away because of a shallow reason but she was hurt and scared for different reasons.

It was because she had become scared of everything that she had seen and everything she had heard.

It was because she had been heartbroken feeling nothing like a second-used option or regret that she had opened her heart.

So it was bound to stick if the first instinct you woke up to and saw was the man that lied, tricked you, and the man that became a nightmare.

But for now, this too played a part.

"I don't want to become a Saintess." (Han Jea/Nania, said)

She said it, she said what she thought with a trembling and cracking voice in fear and anger together.

Perhaps she wouldn't have minded if she hadn't seen that dream or if she had snapped right back to reality that her identity could be revealed with many eyes.

She had preyed for her to have the ability to help Damien cure his curse and become that special person like the female lead but sometimes it's better to be careful what you wish because you'll come to regret it.

She had been selfish to crave someone's attention that wasn't for her in the first place.

She had believed him when he said he never loved anyone, it was a lie.

It was a lie all of it.

How can you recover from that?

How can you move on so easily if his golden eyes looked at the women with honey-coated eyes?

If he loved that woman as if she was his respiration.

Was her destiny meant to be a replacement?

Was it the regret that he couldn't be with her after the dispute so he settled for Han Jea/Nania?
