"VRINDA'S POV"

"Vrinda wake up yar. That's the last time I'm telling you to wake up or else now I'm calling aunty here" Anjali yelled and I sighed sitting on my bed.

"What the hell yar Anjali. Atleast let me sleep in peace" I whined

"Yes. Sleep in peace. You idiot. We'll send someone else to your own marriage" She screamed and now I was fully awake.

"Not a bad idea. Tu chale jaa na meri jagah (You go instead of me ) " I said

"Wha.. Shut up Vrinda and get your ass out of this bed right now" She scolded and I sighed standing up.

"Where's my phone" I asked and she nodded handing me the same.

"Whoa. It's switched off. Just plug in the charger na. Till that I'll just have a quick bath" I told and before she could deny I ran inside the bathroom.

I looked at myself in mirror and sighed.

After bathing and wrapping myself in the bathrobe I went to the little walk in and saw myself infront of the mirror.

It's The Day.

The Wedding Day.

Come on Vrinda. Get it done with.

I sighed and looked at the couch that had a red saree.

"As if I know how to wear a saree" I screamed and in another minute the door opened .

"You can say the same without shouting and drama Vrinda. You're getting married now" Mom scolded and I huffed.

"So? Marrying won't mean me lowering my thoughts" I protested

"These are not thoughts. This is you shouting unnecessarily. God, this girl. What Abhimaan loved in you" She chuckled

"Mom" I whined and she chuckled as a small tear left her eye.

"Hey don't cry mom. Please" I mumbled

"This all is happening so sudden and in such a haste" She sighed

"I know right. But I so wanna marry him. The man of my dreams" I lied where as I could puke over what I said.

"Then what more can I wish for. My daughter being happy" She said kissing my cheek while helping me drape the saree.

Don't cry!! Don't cry Vrinda.

"Your mother in law is such a sweetheart. You know we've met in Delhi too a few times. She has always been one of the amazing woman I've known" She added and I smiled nodding.

She's really sweet. Yesterday she called me thrice just to ask if I'm not tired and happy and of course sending me some cake and shakes at night with Aditya.

I wore the jwellery and the wedding choora (bangles) with it leaving my straight hairs in mid partition.

Meanwhile my carvan was playing the retro songs which soothed me.

Looking at my palms I sighed. I remember Mr. Kapoor's mom told me strictly to wear the wedding bangles and atleast apply some henna because it was very precious in their culture. Actually in every culture. Hence I had this little henna and the bangles in my hand.

"You look so beautiful Vrinda" Mom whispered and this time a tear left my eye too.

After a while I found myself on the first step of a temple.

And I was nervous as hell. Marriage is a bloody big thing. And my feet weren't ready to move. Cold feet!!

"Vrinda walk" Dad said and I looked at him
