﹒⌗﹒🌹﹒౨ৎ˚₊‧ "𝓘𝐓 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊𝐄𝐃!" Mal's voice rang through the room, her eyes wide with disbelief and pride as she stared at the wand now firmly in her grasp. Her fingers tightened around it, not out of fear, but exhilaration. This wasn't just a win—it was proof. Proof that they had a chance.
Maleficent's heels clicked sharply against the floor as she began to pace, her face unreadable except for the growing disgust in her eyes. "I hardly think so," she muttered, her tone clipped and full of disdain. "Frankly, this is tedious and very immature. Give me the wand. Give me the wand!" she snapped, her voice booming and echoing off the high walls.
Carlos took a nervous step forward, hand reaching out toward Mal. "Hold on, Mal," he whispered gently, glancing between her and the imposing figure of her mother. "Maybe good really is more powerful than evil."
Maleficent let out a sharp bark of a laugh. "Oh, please! You're killing me." With a dramatic flourish, she mocked a dog's bark, only for Dude to bark back furiously and charge at her. She shrieked as the little dog leapt into her arms, flailing as if she'd been handed a plague. "Oh, the breath! Get off me!" she spat, tossing Dude back to the ground as if her skin had been scorched.
Seeing a window of opportunity, Jay lunged for Maleficent's scepter, and Elizabeth moved quickly to his side. Her red curls bounced behind her as she threw herself into the struggle, her grip tight around the staff. Their combined strength made Maleficent lean back slightly, her smile growing more amused than threatened.
"My, my," she purred, eyeing Jay as her hand swept over his biceps. "Gaston should be jealous." Her words dripped with mockery. Before Jay could respond, she flicked his forehead sharply, sending him tumbling backward with a pained grunt.
Elizabeth remained standing, her fingers still gripping the scepter as she glanced down at Jay, then back at Maleficent, her jaw clenched. She didn't speak—her eyes said enough. She was angry, but more than that, she was determined.
