***Five years ago***
"Ja'Quan, you gotta stop selling. I can't afford to loose you. Stop being like your daddy and being on those streets." Janelle sobbed to her first born. Ja'Quan was hanging with Rodney, the biggest drug lord in Detroit. Everybody know once you get in, there's no way getting out. You in til the death of you. "Momma we broke! How else we going to get money? Daddy left us to be with Kesha. I just wanna help you out around the house. Ja'Quan was only thirteen, but he was rolling with the big boys. Jacelyn heard them fussing and ran to Jadien room. "I want daddy! When is he coming back?" She sobbed in his arms. Jadien hate seeing his baby sister cry for her daddy knowing he wasn't coming back.

Jay came in the door. "Ja'Quan Ja'Michael Cortes. Boy what's this I heard from Rodney he got a new connection. You better get out. I don't want you to get killed." Jay fussed. Ja'Quan shot his father the look. "Why should I? You still in the game. You haven't quit yet. Plus you got some chick pregnant and left us here. I bet you don't know that momma is dead broke and we going to kicked out the apartment complex. So no I ain't getting out the game pops. I'm just handling business unlike you." Ja'Quan snapped at Jay. Jay charged at him but was stopped by Janelle. "Jay he's your son. He just following in your footsteps. Baby just quit and come home. Kendra already got me going to court. Jay she's going to take the kids. You going to let her take my kids from me?" Janelle begged. Jay phone suddenly started to ring. He looked at it and seen it was Kesha. "Look I gotta go. Kesha going into labor." Jay said walking off. Janelle was pissed. "So you can be there for her but can't be here for me. Heck I'm the one who needed you there. How do you even know its your baby Jay?" When she said that, he was already out the door.

Janelle sat down crying. Ja'Quan left out the apartment. He had to do something to get quick money and he could see in his mama eyes they struggling. All of sudden, she felt arms around her. It was Jadien. He hugged his mama tight. She knew he'll be the one to keep Jacelyn safe and hopefully talk Ja'Quan out of the game.

Jadien hit the steering wheel. The moment Ja'Quan left the house creeps up in his mind. "Damn it." He angrily said. Jadien was on his way to Jacques house when he received a call. It was Alexis.
