GABRIEL'S P.O.V
"Sorry for the inconvenience," he said with a large smile on his face. I walked slowly downstairs, staring at my mother who was kneeling in fear and my dad whose hands were shaking. I glanced at my sister, her face drained in tears and her body glued to the couch as she shook in fear.
I caused this. All of it.
"I don't know anything about this and I don't know what you need me for," I said as I finally reached the living room. "Mum, get up and give a good distance," I added and my dad extended his hands and took my mum away.
"You know, I don't plan to kill your parent. It wasn't their fault that they got to bring the third God into this world. It was that fucking Messiah's plan," he said, grinning afterwards.
"What is it with all the Third God shit I've been hearing of?" I asked and he looked at me with no emotions written on his face.
"That is weird. I could have sworn that I was the only one that has talked to you about it," he said. "Unless," he paused.
"He talked to you, didn't he?" He asked.
"Who?"
"The messiah," he said and I looked at him all confused. Was he talking about the old man in my dream who also called me the Third God?
"Gabriel. What is he talking about? And what is the Third God?" My dad asked, raising his voice. Immediately the guy was in front of him, his hands close to my dad's neck.
"I don't want to kill you but don't tempt me. If you don't want to see hell, talk nicely," he said to my dad gently and my dad nodded in fear. I was mad at the way he instigated fear into the heart of my parents and I was more annoyed at the fact that he had to put a little kid through this kind of experience.
"Don't touch him," I said in anger and he dropped his hands.
"Just wanted to let him know, that's all," he said and sprinted back to his original position.
At this point, I began to believe everything little by little. His confidence, his manner of talking, his demeanor, his movement and how fast he was. It all looked spiritual, like something from movies.
"I am very sure you are not a gangster," I said and he nodded in agreement. "So, what are you?" I asked and he stroke his chin gently.
"Well, I am Kayden; one of the top demons in the universe and I'm here to kill the Third God. Let's not be mistaken; the Third God is you," he answered and gave a slight chuckle.
"Demons?"
"Yes. We exist. We don't just go where we are not needed. You are mostly surrounded by witches and wizards. Those fucking creatures are very strong," Kayden explained. "Well, right now I am going against orders but I just think it would be best this way," he added.
"Going against orders, you are here to kill me. Isn't that the order?" I asked and he chuckled, running his hands on his hair.
"The plan wasn't to kill you now but I got tired. They are giving you time to harness your powers and that is just stupid," he explained and let out a breath.
The fear that laid within me was great and I could feel myself shaking. My knees were weak and I was close to falling. But what would my little sister think, if her brother can't even gain a little bit of confidence? Plus, I am the Third God, there must be some way I can fix this. I can't die now. I have many things to make right with my parents and my sister. I want to be a better brother and son and I can't do that in my grave.
"You can take me but don't touch my family members," I said, raising my hands in surrender and he smiled.
"Take you?" He smirked. "I'm not here to take you. Killing you is the only option," he added.
"In front of a little girl?"
"She would become better in life if she goes through something like that. You would love to see her confidence after that," he said and I grinned in anger. He was playing with me, he didn't take me seriously.
Who am I to be taken seriously anyways? I have nothing, I joined a gang and I was a rebel since I was child. If I'd followed my parent ways, I might have harnessed the powers long before now but I chose to go astray. One more regret to add to my list of regrets.
"Dad, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for not being the child you wanted me to be. I would have been able to control this power given to me by now but I chose to ignore your words. I am so sorry," I said, making eye contact with my dad, fear almost drowning me.
"I forgive you. I have forgiven you ever since you stepped your feet back into the house," He said, forcing a smile.
"What power are you talking about?" My mother said, her voice vibrating as she talked. My father did his best to control his fear but my mother was bad at hiding her emotions.
"Well, sorry to break the family stupidity but I'm still here and I'd love to answer your mother's question," Kayden interrupted walking closer to my sister, picking her up from the floor. She cried as he picked her up but as soon as he glared at her she kept her mouth shut, sniffing slowly.
"Your son, here, is a God like Jesus was. As you all know, Jesus was the second who came to save you guys from your sins. Well, this guy, here, is the third. The world of demons has improved more than the part of just whispering stuffs in the head of individuals or possessing them. Now we can take our own form and still harness our great power." He paused, cleaning the tears out of the eyes of my sister before he continued.
"God didn't like that. So, He had to send someone with His power or a little and that person is your son. His birth alone caused the end of all witches and wizards. That is why we demons were recruited to do the killing," he finished and placed my sister gently on the couch, running his hands through her hair playfully.
"He- he - is a," my mum stammered.
"A God," someone interrupted.
Who interrupted?
A question for you to think about while waiting for the next chapter.
