Three months later...
Today is the day the Byers moved out of Hawkins to Lenora California. They had been through hell for the past couple of years, if anything they deserved this, as much as this pains Natalie. She really going to miss them, The Byers were like a second family to her. Joyce and her mother have known each other since high school and have accepted them into their home. She going to miss watching Will draw and playing DND with him.
She will miss listening to music with Jonathan, The Clash is cool, but nothing compares to Stevie Nicks. Natalie grabbed a box while Jonathan and Nancy moved a mattress. She enters the house and bursts into laughter hearing Lucas and Max singing Never Ending Story, Natalie is happy to see Max smiling and having a good time, despite having to watch her brother die in the most brutal way a few months ago. God, it felt like yesterday.
"Wait, did we get that verse right? Its unfold behind the clouds."
" Yeah, but you're butchering it, so could you please stop?" Dustin told the two
"So then join in, Dusty bun"
Lucas blew him an air kiss, Natalie let out a chuckle watching the chaos unfold.
"Yeah, come on, Dusty bun, why don't you join us?" Max mocked
"You guys are so funny, you should be on Carson."
"Can't we just hear your rendition"
"No"
"Please just one verse" Max pleaded
"No! No way. It's reserved for Suzie's ears, and Suzie's only"
Max and Lucas lock eyes and continued singing, Natalie started laughing again. Dustin flipped off the two and then Natalie, once he noticed her laughing. She grabbed yet another box and walked out, she took a glimpse of Jonathan's room, noticing how empty the room is. No posters, no pictures, nothing. The two start to kiss each other goodbye, Natalie thought they would be inseparable for life, but guess not.
She hopes that they can make long distance work. But at the same time, Natalie wanted that but with Robin. If its Jonathan and Nancy its fine, its normal, but Robin and Natalie, that's a whole different story. She walked away with a sad look on her face. Everyone is outside ready to say goodbye. Will pulled her into a hug, his tears wetting her shirt, it broke Natalies heart, he doesn't want to leave.
Tears started forming her eyes, as reality started to sink in. The Byers are leaving. She then goes and pulls Jonathan into a tight hug, they've been best friends since Middle school, and now he's moving away. Natalie wouldn't expect this day to come. Eleven comes over and wraps her arms around her, that poor girl deserved to leave. She sympathized with her with the death of Jim Hopper, a loving father, a brave chief, a hero.
The U haul truck pulled away as the rest watch The Byers go further and further. Natalie is about to enter her car and looks at the now empty Byer's house. She closed the door and drove off as Landslide by Fleetwood Mac started playing. It didn't help that the song matched the situation, Natalie is desperately trying not to cry. She enters her house, holding in her tears, her mom notices this and stopped doing what she was doing. She went over and hugged Natalie, the tears starting to spill out. They're gone, they really are gone.
A/N: And that is the end of Season 3, I can't believe it really. I had a lot of fun writing this season and I can't believe it's came to an end. But now there S4 to tackle, let's just say it's probably not going to be very fun.
