Bridget's POV

I sat on my bed and sighed. I was starting to get restless waiting for my friend, Sammy, to get online.

I meet Sammy about two years ago on FaceBook. We started talking just a little bit, then it became everyday that we'd talk. Eventually we started skyping and she introduced me to her friends, Gabe, Mikey, Lucas, Max, Ella, Gabby, and Jessie. They all live together in a big Victorian home down in a small town in Louisiana.

My attention snapped back to my screen as a call popped up. I plopped down on my bed and answered it.

"Bridget!" Sammy yelled. "Hey!!" I yelled back. "Hey, how are you?" She asked. "I'm good, what about you?" I asked. "I'm fabulous!" She squealed. "Where are you?" I asked, noticing that room behind her wasn't familiar. "Just visiting a friend." She said, casually, just as a shirtless guy walked behind her.

"Who are you talking to?" They asked. Sammy squealed, she obviously hadn't heard him enter the room.

"Aaron, you scared me!" She yelled. "Sorry?" He said it more like a question. I giggled and Sammy glared at me. "You remember me telling you about my friend, Bridget, right." She said turning her chair to look at him. "Mhm." He mumbled. "Come here, come say hi." She said.

Aaron walked over and leaned over the table to look at the screen. "Hey." He said, not really acting much interested. "Hello!" I said, smiling. He gave a nod and made weird face before walking away. "Don't mind him, he's just not fond of new people." Sammy said, shrugging it off. I nodded and we talked a little while longer before saying goodnight and ending the call.

💀

I shoved everything in my locker into my book bag. The last bell rang and everybody jumped and hollered in excitement. Why, you might ask. Well, it was the last day of school.

I waited till the halls were mostly empty before trying to get out. I didn't want to be trampled. "Bridget!" I looked around, but didn't see who called out my name. There were a bunch of students still hanging around, most of them making plans to go swimming and hangout at the park.

"Bridget!!" Whoever it was was closer, or yelling louder. People started to turn and look at me. "Bridgeeeet!!!!!" I was suddenly tackled to the ground in bone crushing hug.

I quickly looked to see who my attacker was. "Sammy!" I throw my arms around her neck and hugged her. "Oh my god!!" I squealed. "I love you, but please don't kill be with your hugs!" She squeaked.

"How long have you been planing this?!" I asked. "Since two months ago." She chuckled. "What?! And didn't you tell me?!?" I shouted. She giggled and nodded. "Why?!" I asked. "Because, I wanted to surprise you!" I through my arms around her again to give another big hug.

"I hope you know how many people are staring at us right now." Sammy chuckled. I pulled away frown the hug and glared at everyone. They went back to what they were doing and I helped Sammy up.

The whole evening was spent talking and just a hanging out. Sammy had told me about her friends back home and some of their many adventures.

"It sounds like you guys have a lot of fun. I wish I could live with you." I said. "Well...I was kind of wondering if maybe you wanted to spend the summer with us." I looked to her in surprise. "Really?" I asked in disbelief. "Yes." Sammy chuckled. "I'd love to!" I squealed, hugging her for like the hundredth time that day.

👻💀👻💀👻💀👻💀

Sammy stayed for a week. And her last day there was when I brought up going to stay with her to my parents. They agreed, but not until they had Sammy promise to take care of me and keep me out of trouble.

So, here I stand, in front of the house two weeks later. Sammy burst through the door and pulled me into a hug.

"I'm so glad you're here." She squealed. "Don't burst the poor girl's ear drums." Gabe said, helping me with my bags. "Bridget, it's nice to finally meet you in person!" Ella said, giving me a hug. "You too." I said.

"Lets hurry up and get your things inside, it looks like it might rain." Gabby said. Her and Max grabbed a few of my other bags and showed me to my room.

"Mikey, Lucas, and Jessie are out gathering things for diner tonight. Aaron is a cross the hall in his room settling in and we'll leave you to the same, but feel free to come down anytime to join us." Sammy explained. "Wait, Aaron?" I questioned. "Yeah, I forgot to tell you, he's staying here too over the summer." She said. "Oh, okay. Cool." I sighed. Gabby hurried everyone out of the room and told me to make myself at home.

After I'd finally put my clothes in drawers and closet and made my bed, I fell back on the bed. I wondered if I'd be bothering Aaron if I went to introduce myself. In the end I decided that it wouldn't hurt and got up and knocked on the door.

Aaron peaked out the at me and his eyebrows scrunched together in confusion. "Hey, um, I just wanted to come introduce myself." I said, sticking my hand out. He hesitantly took my hand and shook it. "It's nice to meet you." I said. "Yeah...you too." He said awkwardly.

"I was also about to go downstairs, do you wanna come with me." I asked. "You're big girl, go by yourself." He said shutting the door.

I stood there, just a little shocked. I could tell he didn't like me and I didn't have a clue as to why. It was going to be a long summer with this guy around.
