Hello everyone and thank you for choosing to read Dark Blood, I promise I'll attempt to give you my best writing. Let's begin with a disclaimer.

I do not own any segment of the Harry Potter franchise, all plots as well as characters, settings have been constructed by J.K Rowling. All credit goes to her.
Now, moving on to the actual book.
I do not write for fun, I write to pour emotion, which is really the main reason (along with the fact it would not make sense if the story began any time before now) the story begins at Half-blood prince. In the movies, Half-blood prince is portrayed as some romance year with teenage angst. If you have read the books, you know it isn't quite that. Therefore, please do not expect a story full of this, of course in order for there to be darkness there must be light so I will balance it out with a few comedic scenes. But I will mostly be focusing on morals, and the two sides of the Wizarding world, as well as the darkness that is brimming it.
The main character, Leora Malfoy, may I remind you, is a Malfoy. Growing up isolated from the rest of the Wizarding world in a house of tainted beliefs has caused her to be prejudiced, and spiteful. If Leora were any different it would be unrealistic, for this mindset is all she has known. Do not despise her when she acts a certain way towards certain people.
This is an enemies-to-lovers slow burn. Do not expect Harry and Leora to be snogging within five chapters. There is chemistry to be built, moments to be shared, intimacy to be exchanged. This will realistically take time.

I will attempt to update frequently. I have not written much of this story but I do have the plot thought out, all I truly need is to put my thoughts to writing, so do not expect much of wait. Noting this, please do be patient with me if I happen to stump up.
This story will have mature themes. No smut, as I am not entirely comfortable writing smut and I personally think it breaks a story, but there will be spice as well as alludes to it. I will not leave you *entirely* robbed.
—Ginny is not irritating in this story because I despise when she is made to be jealous and nasty.
Spoiler alert: she will be sorted into Slytherin. When planning Dark Blood I pondered heavily in which house Leora belonged to. Gryffindor and Slytherin were my initial choices, and eventually I settled on Slytherin. This allows Leora to be built more complex, it challenges her. As the story progresses, I am sure you'll come to find why I made this decision. If you do not like this decision, find another book.
