(Our sincerest apologies for taking such a long period of time to write the next chapter, our schedules are getting quite packed (◞‸◟;), we hope that this is up to your expectations.)

After the next chapter, we plan to rewrite the whole book and try to shorten the chapters by like— 20% or something cause let's face it it gets too long and danganronpa characters yap a lot and everything needs to be ✨️polished✨️ badly.

The sound of the Flashback Light shattering continued to repeat in your mind, even as night fell.

You remained seated on your bed, holding the plushie Shuichi had won for you back at the casino. It's been comforting you for a while now, hugging the fluffy toy helped to relive the stress building within you. Sometimes, it feels like doll would return your embrace, as though it was trying to help you.

But that still didn't ease your worries about Angie's new 'rule'.

Were Kaito and the others waiting for you to join them for training? You wouldn't want to keep Kaito and Maki waiting... especially Shuichi, there may be something on his mind regarding this morning's incident, you noticed he seemed troubled this morning, although you didn't want to prod him about it with your friends still in the room.

But there might be dire consequences if Angie found out that you disobeyed her rules and snuck out past curfew, not that you wanted to obey them in the first place anyways.

'Are you just going to stare at the ceiling all night, or go to sleep already!' (emaN) hissed in your head, likely sleepy or bored since you didn't have much to do for nearly the whole day.

You clicked your tongue, slumping slightly as you placed the doll on your lap, your fingers fiddling with the fluff. "I've got a... really bad feeling about tomorrow... I-I'm not sure if I should go see Shuichi and the others or—"

'Do you want us to collapse? We already have our beauty sleep scheduled!'

You grimaced. The last time you collapsed from exhaustion and lack of sleep, waking up to a splitting headache and a sore back wasn't very pleasant.

With a sigh, you reluctantly stood up and placed the plushie aside. "You're very demanding, you know that?" You grumbled softly, fixing the scarf around your neck.

'We're very demanding, I'm a voice in your head!'

"I didn't have a choice." You huffed, quietly opening the door and peering outside. The coast was clear, none of the student council members are here, oddly enough. But an opportunity is an opportunity, and you had a feeling you should find Shuichi and see what was on his mind.

You closed the door behind you, keeping your steps as light as you could, not wanting to wake your friends up by accident.

Just as you were about to approach Shuichi's room, the door slowly swung open. "...Oh, (Name)." Shuichi spoke softly right as his eyes landed on you, a little relieved to have seen you instead of Angie or a student council member.

You relaxed and the tension in your shoulders loosened, exhaling a breath you didn't realize you had been holding in. "S-Sorry... I was thinking about looking for you and Kaito..."

"Great minds think alike." Shuichi mused with a lighthearted chuckle. "I was also thinking about looking for you so we could check up on Kaito together, especially after seeing how unwell he looked this."
