I'm already brushing my teeth when my alarm goes off for my first day of work at my new job. I just couldn't sleep at all, i'm so excited! After a year of training i'm finally joining the fbi. I can't help but squeal and jump up and down as i rinse my toothbrush and wash my face. I've been planning my outfit all week and race to my dresser where the clothes i've picked out are sitting on top of it folded neatly. I slip into white pants, a pink top and accessorize with gold heart earrings and a matching watch. I sit infront of the mirror and take out my hair rollers, which to my delight have given me a flawless blowout. I do my makeup, toss lipgloss, gum, my new fbi id and some mascara into a black bag, grab my phone and keys and slip on my favorite black heels. Before i leave i give a twirl in my mirror and spray some perfume.

I lock my apartment door and hop into my car, immediately turning on my playlist. I pull down the car mirror and give myself a quick pep talk.
I'm smart, fun, and my lip combo always eats.
Satisfied, confident and excited for my new job i start driving to work. As im merging onto the highway, I accidentally cut someone off causing them to swerve out of the lane.
"Oops" I grimace, speeding off. Fbi agent coming through, sorry! I screech to a stop at a red light and the car I cut off rolls up beside me.
Oh my God. I shudder, staring straight ahead. I quickly glance over and the guy driving is partially glaring at me so I just slowly turn my head back to the road, turn my music up a little louder and pop my gum. When the light turns green I immediately accelerate and drive off but the car stays next to me, and when I take the exit it pursuits.
umm...
I take a turn, and then another, and when i look in my rearview there he is!
ok so maybe he's a little bit mad. what can i say? i'm just a girl!
After what feels like an eternity, I finally pull into the parking lot and to my horror so does the guy.
Is he following me? what a creep!
I hop out of the car and grab my things, quickly speed walking inside. I slip into the elevator and breathe a sigh of relief. I press the button to my office which i have already been to so i could set my things up.
floor 11.
The button doesn't light up.
floor 11.
Nothing.
"Ugh!! what's wrong with you stupid elevator?!" I moan, agitatedly pressing the button some over and over.

"You need to swipe your ID to use it." a voice suddenly says from behind me, causing me to jump.
When I whip my head around my eyes lock with him. It's the man from the car!!
"Oh! Hi. I mean, thanks." I stumble over my words nervously as I reach into my bag and swipe my ID over the reader in the elevator. The man looks unimpressed. I just smile and press the 11 button, which to my relief lights up. The man's eyebrows raise in just the slightest way as he clears his throat.

"Um, where are you going?" I ask sweetly in a way i'm hoping might reverse our unideal first interaction.

"Same as you, apparently." He says, his tone sharp.
