"What the Hell are you?!" As I remembered the look on Elena's face when she asked me that question all I could see was fear in those beautiful brown eyes of hers.

"Are you okay?" Hayley asked as she walked into the room before she laid down next to me.

"She was scared of me." I said as Hayley bit her cheek before she turned my head to look at her in the eyes.

"You need to tell her the truth Scott. Elena's been by your side since you guys were little kids, it's the least she deserves." Hayley said as I nodded before I sat up in my bed.

"What if she thinks I'm a monster?" I asked as Hayley laid her head on my shoulder.

"Scott we're predators, but it doesn't mean we have to be monsters and Elena will see that." Hayley said as I softly smiled before I turned and pressed my lips against hers.

"What was that for?" Hayley asked as a soft smile etched its way onto her lips.

"Don't ever stop being you Hayley Marshall-McCall." I said making Hayley smile get bigger before she sat up.
