Later on the same day, inside one of the many classrooms of Hyakkaou, sat Ryota, surrounded by chatter and banter of miscellaneous topics. He sat still in his chair, zoned out completely going over the earlier events that took place today. In his hands a blue book, with the number 1 in the portrait.
"That was way too close. When a girl gets named a house pet, she'll probably have it way worse than a boy. I have to do something now."
Ryota walked over to Yumeko, who sat looking at some type of flyer, or was it a letter?
"Hey, Yumeko, you feel like going to a gambling hall? Wait what is it that you're reading?"
Yumeko smiled and replied. "It's just a flyer they were handing out in the hall." She finished.
Filled with intrigue, at the flyer, Ryota settled for reading the contents of it out loud.
""Notice of a Debt Settlement party?""
Kirari Momobami, the enigmatic and calculating president of Hyakkaou Private Academy, watched from her elevated perch in the student council room. Below her, the sprawling school grounds teemed with students, their lives dictated by the high-stakes gambling that governed their social hierarchy. Her icy blue eyes narrowed as she considered her next move.
Kirari had been monitoring the recent events with keen interest. Yumeko Jabami, the compulsive gambler with an insatiable thirst for risk, had just narrowly escaped a dangerous situation with Jun Kiwatari, thanks to the unexpected alliance between her brother Y/n and the impulsive Midari Ikishima. This unlikely trio had piqued Kirari's curiosity. She saw potential, a chance to stir the pot even further.
In the aftermath of Jun's public apology, Y/n found himself summoned to the grandiose office of his sister. The room was dimly lit, the shadows dancing across the walls as the sun set. Kirari sat behind her ornate desk, her fingers steepled in front of her face, a predatory smile playing on her lips.
"Interesting," she mused, a smile playing on her lips as her eyes glinted with intrigue.
"Y/n is more involved than I anticipated."
She tapped a button on her intercom.
"Bring him to me."
Moments later, Y/n was escorted into the room by Sayaka, who stood behind, stoic and composed. He stood confidently, unphased by his sister's intimidating presence.
"You wanted to see me, big sis?" he asked.
"Indeed, little brother," she replied, her tone smooth and composed.
"I heard about your recent... adventure with Yumeko."
He smirked. "I couldn't resist. I find myself wanting to know more about her."
Kirari leaned forward, her eyes narrowing.
"I need your help with something more... official. I want you to participate in the upcoming debt settlement party. As a dealer."
"As a dealer? Why?" he questioned, curiosity piqued.
"Your skills are exceptional, and I believe you can add a new layer of complexity to the games," Kirari explained. "Besides, your involvement would make things much more interesting."
