"Hey, Jess?" Tyler said from the end of the table at the Hands Off Our Bodies meeting, causing everyone to look up in complete shock, Nessa included.

"What are you doing here?" Jessica asked as Nessa hit her in the arm.

"Be nice, Jess." Nessa ordered. "It's your day."

"Right!" Jess said in a perky voice as she silently cursed herself for forgetting. "That's right, sit."

Casey looked up at the girls, confusion sitting on her face as she held up her hand to point at Tyler. "Survivors and allies only."

"Tyler can be an ally." Nessa offered up. "Right, Ty?"

Tyler nodded, a solemn look over his face. "Yeah, yeah."

"Come on, then." Nessa encouraged him. "There's an empty seat next to me."

Tyler sat down, and Nessa gave him a quick hug as he did so, offering him a smile as he set his things down.

"Anyways, as I was saying." Jessica said proudly. "Welcome to the first meeting of Hands Off Our Bodies!"

The small group roared with excitement, Nessa the most of all. When Jessica had brought this idea up to her, she was all for it. This was the type of change that they had promised, and they were delivering for sure.

"The flyers say 'Ho'." Casey pointed out, and Nessa did a double take. She and Jessica had worked on them for hours, how did they miss that?

"Yeah, it stands for Hands Off." Jessica explained.

"We're taking back the word, reclaiming it." Nessa explained quickly, remembering the conversation she, Jessica and Ani had about the flyers. It had slipped her mind, as most things did these days. "Cool, right?"

"How about 'Fuck Rapists and Dismantle the Patriarchy'?" Casey suggested sharply, and Nessa giggled.

"It's not all that catchy, is it?" Ani asked.

Casey nodded. "Okay, fair. How about... 'Stab all the jocks and watch 'em bleed'?"

The girls laughed, and Nessa looked over at Tyler, just to ensure that he was comfortable with everything unfolding right now.

Casey looked over at the boy, who was sitting nervously. "Still wanna be an ally?"

Tyler nodded excitedly. "Oh, I can get on board with that."

"I'm glad he's dead." Casey said at the current Hands Off meeting, distracting Nessa from her thoughts. "I mean, aren't you two?"

Nessa sighed, looking down at her feet. She knew this was going to be the first question she was asked, and she wasn't in the mood to answer it. Not like she could tell the truth, anyways.

"I mean, it's complicated." Jessica answered for the both of them, knowing how this affected Nessa.

"Well, I think whoever shot him did the world a favor." Casey said, and Nessa's stomach churned. She was so pissed that she felt this way, because she knew she shouldn't, but she couldn't help it. Bryce being dead fucking sucked in a way. "The only question now is – how do we make sure they don't turn him into a martyr?"
