"Have you ever experienced a dream so vivid that the tears you shed actually trickled down your face? That must be what's happening to me. I must be dreaming. I could hear my voice reverberating."
"This is not fair. You're not allowing me to tell my side of the story," I screamed so loud that the entity stopped moving.
"That's not how this works." It said. "You don't get to tell your story. Your life was played out before our very eyes. We saw, we lived every moment," it's voice was cold and uncaring.
"He will be lost without me..." my voice trembled as I spoke, tears tracing a path down my cheeks.
Everywhere I looked was nothing but darkness. I felt so alone, unheard, and unseen. Yet, I sensed it's malevolence seeping into every fiber of my being.
It moved like a sinister shadows a chilling touch I long to avoid. When it brush against my skin it sent cold chills down my spine and made me want to curl into a little ball and cry for my daddy.
The only problem for it was that this wasn't about me. Fear had no place in this moment; I felt I had only fleeting seconds, and if that was all I had, I would dedicate every moment to fight for him like nobody ever had.
"It all began with a single entry in my diary. It was the summer following my graduation, and I was resolute in my decision not to start college without Tino finally noticing me... if only I had known."
My scream pierced the silence, hoping it would hear me. I was prepared to plead my case, even if it meant it would be the last thing I did.
Could something this evil even understand the concept of love? I wondered.
"Have you ever loved someone so deeply that you found yourself patiently waiting for them to catch up?"
My question was followed by silence.
"That someone for me was Justino, my childhood crush turned dream boyfriend from elementary through high school.
I glanced up to see if it was even paying attention. It didn't seem to be but I kept going.
This story weaves a hell of a tale of obsession and the epic saga of learning to hit the 'unfriend' button on unrequited love.
"Still no response, no indication that it heard me at all. I took a deep breath. As I mentioned, it all began with a diary entry."
