Third Person's POV
A group of 9 muscles men in all black making their way into the mansion with a nerve-racking, knowing too well that what they're going to report the next minute will not pleasant their terrified mafia boss. They seem hurried but deep down no one want to go inside, however, show up and not show up are equally scary but if they're going to get killed anyway at least showing up might get them a chance to explain themselves.
"Boss" they all bowing to Jeon Cheol-San and his youngest son Jeon Jungkook who sit silently on the long dinning table with a glass of whiskey on their hand. Waiting patiently for the head of the bodyguard man to make a report.
"We've been trailing behind them all days but nothing is new except for Kang YoungHyun often stop by for dinner." Studying their bosses reaction, the man hesitated. "Also, Baek Beom-Seok recently been visiting President Kang quite often too at the blue house."
With bloody-red ears, Jungkook closing his eyes slowly taking a deeper breath but due to a burning sensation in the heart, the puff is slightly shaky. "After 2 weeks, you come back to tell me just this? What make you so confident?" His voice gives chill while his stares give death sentence. "If I were you I will shoot myself instead of coming here with nothing. A three years old kid could do better than this." He throws the half whiskey bottle at them creating sharp pieces of broken glasses all over the floor. A feeling of dejavu comes across their mind remembering how they were forced to walk on it once for failing an important mission. They prayed to god secretly "not again, please."
The men legs shaking from fear. One of them
stumblingly responded, "There's rumour that the two families want to take things serious. They even start— talking about— marriage."Jungkook cut off immediately, "Nonsense!" His lips press together, but in his head he's thinking about all the possibilities that could convince Jia to do it when she's so head over heel with Kim Mingyu. The more he thinks, the more it doesn't makes any sense.
"Isn't she already has a boyfriend?" His father asked, "he's a son of the bastard Kim Tae, isn't it?"
"Seem like they already break up after a huge fight the other night, boss." Said the man, "She was at his house to celebrate something but out of a sudden Kang YoungHyun appeared, then, a sound of people arguing was heard from the inside before the two stomped out in anger about half an hour later." He then explain everything they saw that night when they were stalking them from afar. It was dark and unclear from the distance as it is all they can gather.
The other man jumped in to help his friend, "Sorry boss, we haven't tell you yet since we're not sure. We just want to collect more informations first before we report."
Mr Jeon nodded, absorbing the details as he rushes them to go back and get their work done as soon as possible. Seeing his son's expression, he doesn't want them to be the punching bags.
Jungkook rubbing his face in frustration, not understanding how things can get so complicated in such a short period. What makes him more disappointed is the fact that he was so sure he has earned some points in Jia's heart, only if Kang YoungHyun doesn't appear so suddenly. Only if she doesn't blindly love Kim Mingyu for god knows what reason. "Dad"
"Hmm?"
"Am I not good enough?" He murmurs faintly that his voice almost becomes a wind. "Why am I never the choice? I don't care if it's second or third, I just want to be — chosen for once."
