Your POV
This next part of the story took me by surprise, because I knew that after this, I almost didn't know who Rokka was anymore.
Rokka and I became friends after we went to see the Masked Guitarist on stage. She and I are starting to have a lot in common, and who knows, maybe she and I can become even closer in the future.
However, the only thing we could talk about was that show, and how that performance made Rokka want to get better at playing the guitar. Little did she know that I want to play the guitar as much as she does, and I want to be able to perform the stage where a lot of people are watching us.
I have brought with Rokka numerous times, but every time, she dodges the question. I wasn't sure why when I brought it up with her, but this is the one time where I didn't.
On this particular day, she and I were out for a walk. I can tell by the look on her face that she was thinking about something.
I knew something was bothering her, so I had to speak up.
"Rokka, is everything okay?" I asked. "You seem to be thinking hard about something?"
"Huh? Oh, no, nothing is wrong." She quickly replied once she brought herself back to reality. Something isn't right here, I just know it.
"I'm sorry, though." She quickly apologizes. "Were you saying something earlier?"
"Well, yeah, I wanted to know how you felt about me playing the guitar and performing together?" I asked. I know exactly what the answer might be, but given how she had some time to think about it, hopefully she'll change her mind, right?
"Well, you see... I don't really know." She confessed.
I looked at her with a confused expression.
"What do you mean you don't know? Is there something you're not telling me?" I asked, and this time, I won't let her push my question to the side like she did before.
She sighs as she looks at me with honesty in her eyes.
"You want to know the truth? Then I'll say it; my dream is a little bit different than yours." She said.
"A different dream? What do you mean?" I asked as I start to feel nervous from what she's about to say.
A soft smile appears on her face she starts to speak up.
"You see, my dream is to be part of a band."
"A band?"
"Yeah. You heard of Poppin' Party, right? The ones who performed at Live House Space?" She asked.
"Yeah, I remember you mentioned it to me the other day, but what about them?" I asked.
"Well, I saw them on stage, and I was amazed by how close they all are." She said while still grinning.
"Just seeing that maybe think that... I should be part of a band as well."
A small blush appears on Rokka's face as she went on and on about her dream. I should be happy for her, but at the same time, I should be a good friend and just respect her decision. I just hope she doesn't end up with a bad band that isn't rude to her.
"(Y/N)-kun, are you okay?" Rokka asked as she brought me back to reality.
"Oh, yeah, I'm good." I replied, particularly lying to her.
"You sure?"
"Yeah, I am. But more importantly, this is what you want, right? To be in a band?"
"Yes. More than anything."
Now I can see the fire in her eyes, and it was too intense to look at. At that point, I just gave in and accepted her dream.
"Okay, you got my support." I said. "If being in a band is what you want, then I will do whatever it takes to help you out."
"Thanks." She said before giving me a hug.
I hugged her back, and I let out a quiet sigh, so quiet that she didn't hear me. I just hope I don't regret this choice either.
