Autumn couldn't remember the last time she had worn this dress. It was black silk, long and flowing, though it hugged her waist perfectly to create the most flattering shape anyone had ever seen. The sleeves were long, but that was how she liked it. Autumn had realised that she gets enough male attention anyway, but showing her light creamy shoulders would make her a magnet to all male beings in her vicinity. She paired it with black YSL heels, which she would normally wear to work anyway.Double dating was not her thing. Autumn liked being herself in front of Winter. That's one of the reasons she knew he was the one. Never before in a relationship had she ever felt so comfortable being herself. So whenever the subject of double dating came about, she shut it down almost immediately. But ever since finding out she was pregnant, her hormones has made her soften, and suddenly double dating wasn't such a bad idea after all.
As she slipped the dress on, she heard the bedroom door open, and she turned around to see Winter standing there, gazing at her with nothing but adoration in his baby blue eyes. Those eyes.
Autumn was a sucker for those eyes."Darling you are so beautiful." he whispered, still staring at her.
She smiled and walked over to him, placing a soft kiss on his lips as he wrapped his arms around her waist, feeling the smooth silk of her dress.
He also looked rather smart, dawning a white shirt and black suit pants, with his hair looking fluffy and unkept, which was Autumn's favourite.
As the kiss ended, he looked down at her, smiling. His smile was so beautiful, that was something that she had noticed the day they had met. When she was around him, she couldn't help but smile back.
"Are you ready to leave, the taxis will be here in a few minutes?" Winter asked softly, stroking her cheek with his thumb.
Autumn nodded, and Winter gave her one last kiss before turning around and heading back downstairs.
She put on her favourite diamond necklace, sprayed some perfume and brushed through her hair again, before grabbing her purse and shutting the door behind her.

The taxi ride was short. Marjorie's house was only ten minutes away from Winter and Autumn's, so they didnt have to sit in an awkward silence for long. Winter placed his hand on her thigh as soon as the sat down on the backseats, and it never left until the car was safely stopped in Marjorie's driveway. Hand placement was a big thing for Autumn. Physically displays of affection, she was not a fan of, but the times where Winter's hand slipped slightly lower on her waist or squeezed her thigh when lots of people were around made her stomach do front flips.
They paid the driver and headed to the front door, both feeling slightly nervous for what was to come. They rang the doorbell, Winter clutching Autumn's hand tightly. He could sense how uncomfortable she was, but all he could do was reassure her, which words couldn't always satisfy.
Reece answered the door, who looked similar to Winter in his black trousers and white shirt, though Reece's adidas trainers were not matching with Winter's black dress shoes.
"Aut, Winter, nice to see you, please come in." Reece said, opening the door to let the couple in.
Marjorie's house was completely opposite to Autumn and Winter's. The walls were beige and cream, floors were all carpet and rugs, and the decoration was all pinks and reds. On the wall, was a large photo frame, filled with pictures of Reece and Marjorie on holiday together, of Reece and Autumn as children playing in the garden, and even one of Marjorie and Autumn sitting in the office together.
The four of them sat together at the kitchen island, catching up on their days at work, while Reece made everyone drinks. Winter was a red wine man, that was all he drank really, but today he decided on a glass of whiskey, Autumn had her usual glass of red (non alcoholic, of course,) Reece had a beer and Marjorie had a white wine.
After half an hour, Marjorie was already tipsy, so suggested they all moved into the living room. Reece sat on a single armchair, with Marjorie on his lap, which she seemed to be enjoying a little too much, while Autumn and Winter sat down beside eachother on a sofa. They engaged in conversation for a few minutes, but when Marjorie and Reece began to start making out, Autumn and Winter looked at eachother uncomfortably. In so many ways, they were opposite couples.
Winter slipped his arm around Autumn's waist, which she would never admit, gave her butterflies. The two of them sat in silence, just enjoying each other's company, while trying to block out the noise of Marjorie and Reece's tounges slapping against their mouths. Although the whole situation was extremely unpleasant, Autumn felt safe. All because of Winter's hand sitting comfortably on her waist.
The night flew by after that. The awkwardness had left by 10:30, so the couples moved back through to the kitchen. By that point, Marjorie was absolutely smashed. She had no sense of embarrassment, so standing on their kitchen table and singing Abba seemed like a great idea.
Reece was slightly drunk, but not alot, Winter was tipsy, although when he gets drunk, he doesn't do anything embarrassing or rude, he just becomes extremely clingy to Autumn, which she secretly adores. And Autumn, was stone cold sober, due to her being pregnant.
As Marjorie sung her heart out, Autumn stood up to take a photo of her, to show future Marjorie just how intoxicated she was, Winter pulled her into his lap, which he would have never done if he hadn't just downed three shots of whiskey. She turned slightly red and smiled, normally she would have just gotten up, but realising how drunk her brother and Marjorie were, she didn't really care.
He begun kissing her neck, which made her heart beat out of her chest with anticipation. Suddenly, all she wanted to do was go home.
Wonder why.At half past one in the morning, Reece and Marjorie had fallen asleep at the kitchen table, so Autumn and Winter had decided it was officially home time.
The taxi ride home felt hours long, although it was only ten minutes. It was the same taxi driver as earlier, who must have been utterly confused as to why Winter's attitude had changed so much, considering on the way there he was staring out of the window in silence, but now he was kissing his girlfriend's neck and reaching his hand up her dress.
As soon as their front door was shut and locked, all the time blended into itself, and suddenly it was half past nine in the morning, and Autumn was lying naked in her bed. Her makeup was still on and her hair was all messed up. She looked over her shoulder and all she could see was Winter, who was also naked, his glasses still on and a smile on his face as he slept.
Last night must have been a good night.
