Weeks had gone by now. The bet was well underway with one month completed. Lisa and Jennie had both settled into their roles with each other. With every passing day, Lisa became more and more comfortable with her little side. It became obvious that maybe she had been on the wrong side of the Caregiver/little dynamic, or maybe she could do both. She still liked caring for Jennie but in a different way. For Lisa, being little was just the flip side of everything she had done as a Mommy. Like if she thought Jennie needed cuddles, instead of holding her, Lisa would crawl into her lap and let herself be held.

Jennie was also becoming quite confident in her ability to be Lisa's Daddy. She had figured out what certain looks meant. She knew how to react and what to do when Lisa went nonverbal. It became very apparent which behaviors weren't necessarily bad but just cries for attention. Jennie also took note of which punishments worked for Lisa and which ones were more of a treat. Lisa really liked spankings. So that was saved more for light play and rewards sometimes.

Cameron and Lisa were still seeing each other. It had not gotten too serious. Both of them worked a lot. Lisa had Jennie. Cameron had her daughter. They saw each other when they could. They talked almost every night. Cameron even dropped by while Lisa was at work sometimes just to see her, other times to bring her something to nibble on. Lisa appreciated the gestures. She thought she was sweet. She liked Cameron for what it was worth, and Cameron liked her. They were building a connection without sex.

Jennie and Yumi saw each other all the time. Jennie couldn't remember the last time she frequented her restaurant so much. The two of them were hot and heavy. They couldn't keep their hands off each other. Jennie would go to Yumi's, or Yumi would come to her house. They would do it in the car or in Jennie's office. It didn't matter. Neither was too sure they had feelings for the other, but they sure as hell liked feeling each other up. Even though Jennie had yet to let Yumi actually touch her, Yumi had let her discontentment be known. She wanted to do for Jennie what Jennie did for her. She didn't think it was very fair. Still, with the mind-blowing orgasms Jennie gave her, she couldn't complain too much.

Jennie spoke to Lisa on the phone and asked if she wanted to grab lunch. Lisa told her yes. Jennie thought Lisa sounded weird on the phone but didn't think too much into it. When she walked into Lisa's office, she saw her staring at her computer screen. She was very focused on reading something. Jennie didn't interrupt her work. She just sat down quietly until Lisa's attention was free.

Lisa sniffled and smiled weakly. "Hi, Daddy." She was extremely tired, and her nose had been running all day. Not to mention the constant and pounding headache she had. She felt lethargic and a bit apathetic the entire day. However, she had to work on this case. It wasn't going to do itself.

Jennie noticed right away something wasn't right. "Hi. Lisa, are you sick?" she asked. She stood and approached the other side of Lisa's desk to feel her forehead and get a better look at her.

Lisa shook her head. "No. I'm just a little tired. That's all. I could use some Tylenol, I guess. My head hurts, but I'll be okay." Lisa could not afford to be sick right now.

Jennie placed her hand on Lisa's forehead. It was so hot it shocked Jennie. "Lisa, you are burning up. Are you serious?"

"I actually thought it was a little chilly in here," Lisa said. "Okay. So I'll get some medicine when I go home tonight."

Jennie scoffed. "You're leaving right now. Pack your things."

"What? No. I can't. I have work to do," Lisa protested.

"I'm sorry. Are you the only one that works here?" Jennie asked sarcastically.

Lisa gave her a look. A look that told her she was not in the mood for her snark.

"I'm serious, Lisa. At least let me take you to the doctor. If they clear you, I'll leave you alone about it and let you go back to work," Jennie said. She stroked Lisa's hair. Lisa could tell Jennie was in full-on Daddy mode. Lisa knew Jennie would worry herself sick if she didn't agree to go get checked out.

"Fine. Okay, but I'm telling you it's a waste of time. I don't get sick," Lisa said, shrugging. This was a well-known fact. Lisa could count on one hand all the times in her life she had been sick. She closed her laptop and neatly stacked the files she was looking over on her desk. She knew she would be back, so there was no need to put them away. She would simply lock her office door.

"Yeah. Yeah. You don't get sick. I know," Jennie said, rolling her green eyes and silently wondering why her best friend had to be so stubborn. She clearly wasn't well.

The two of them walked out to Tracy's desk. She was on the phone scheduling a meeting for Lisa for next week. She hung up and looked up at her boss. "Ma'am?"

"Tracy, put me out for a long lunch. I need to go to the doctor," Lisa said, annoyed with this new development of her day.

"Oh good. I was going to suggest you go. You don't look so good." Tracy picked up the phone. "Should I call ahead for you?"

Lisa sighed. "Yeah. Thanks." Maybe she was actually sick and it wasn't just Jennie being overly cautious.

The two of them left and Jennie drove her to the doctor's office. They sat in the waiting room and Lisa felt herself becoming smaller and smaller. She didn't want to take yucky medicine or feel bad. She grabbed Jennie's hand and let her head rest against her shoulder.

Jennie smiled at the fact Lisa was comfortable enough to do that. She kissed the top of her head. "Lisa?" she said.

"Huh?" Lisa didn't move. She was too tired to even look up at her Daddy. She just wanted to get her paci and go to sleep while Jennie rubbed her back.

"It's going to be okay, baby," Jennie whispered. She felt Lisa press her face further into her shoulder. Lisa, unlike Lisa, was very shy. She didn't like to speak up for herself or take care of important stuff. She wasn't sure how she was going to get through this doctor's appointment. Perhaps Jennie would answer the questions for her. What was Lisa thinking? This was Jennie. Of course, she would take charge and answer the doctor's questions. Lisa relaxed and rested in the knowledge that she was in good hands with her Daddy.
