Once upon a time a there was a girl named Kim van Slooten. A girl with beautiful blonde hair and fierce blue orbs. She had a laugh so magnetic everyone would laugh alongside her. From the amazing style to the fantastic personality, it was obvious that she was no less than perfect.
Kim's biggest talent was singing and acting. Grays Anatomy was the show she first starred in as a child. She was only 7 and already showed great skill. After that she did a couple of shows that failed. Even tho they failed she never let it get in the way. She pushed through and believed in herself that one day she would make it.
She was right, she did make it. It has been 12 years since the start of her career. Her current project was a movie called: After. Fans loved her transformation from a sweet, innocent girl to a sensual, mature woman. Kim knew they were going to love this new movie.
Fans were going to love it even more when they found out who her co-star is. The guy playing Hardin Scott was Griffin Gluck. Ever since the movie Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life came out she has had the biggest crush on him. He might not be everyone's favorite but that was okay for her. As she always said: " I like my men a little ugly"
Her crush wasn't easy to deal with on set. Being professional was very important to Kim however her feelings were slowly getting in the way. The filming of sensual scenes was almost entirely new for Kim. The only thing she has done that resembles those scenes in a way was the shooting of her music videos. Her new songs Karma and Guilty pleasure were loved by all. The radio stations played those songs almost on repeat.
Today was another hard day trying to uphold her professionalism when griffin shot her a look from across the room. He did this all the time. The intense stare with his gorgeous hazel eyes were hard to ignore. She felt his eyes wander over her body as if he was admiring every feature of her. This made the blonde girls stomach into a royal garden for butterflies.
She wondered if this behavior had anything to do with the scene they had to do today. The scene they were shooting today was the lake scene. This scene was innocent yet sensual. A mix of pleasure and virtue. The lake scene had cute aspects but is still fuming hot. Right before they started shooting Griffin walked up to the girl.
"Hi! Are you nervous about the scene?" He asked. Kim was nervous yet excited to try this new experience. To his question she responded "Honestly yes. I've only done this for my music videos and still then this is totally different. This is more intense in a way. If that makes any sense." She started laughing at the end in an attempt to make it less awkward. Griffin gave a small chuckle to her cute behavior. "Don't be scared. It's totally normal to be nervous. If it makes you feel any better I'm also nervous. I would also like to say that at any given point you want to take a break just tell me. We have all the time of the world"
To this statement Kim gave him a sassy look. "All the time of the world I think you have forgotten that we are shooting a movie. You are aware of the fact that we have other scenes to shoot this afternoon right. Next to that as much as I appreciate your kind words about taking a break I don't think that just telling you is going to give me one." Even though she had much more to say about this his ridiculous statement and hard work Griffin cut her off. "I understand where you're coming from but just give me a sign and I will make sure that you get a break. I will simply pretend to be bitten by a fish" After his last sentence both of them bursted out in laughter.
His cute words got to Kim head. Wondering if they had any meaning. Was he saying this just to be nice or was there more to it. Curiosity killed Kim and so she asked "You would do that for me?" Before she knew it Griffin looked at her confused. Worry started to fill her brain. Why oh why did she genuinely had to ask him that. Why couldn't she just keep quiet. Why for fucks sake did she have to open her mouth and say something so dumb and embarrassing. Why couldn't she have just said thanks I appreciate it. All these thought started to fill her head. The mere seconds that the silence between them lasted felt like ages for her. "Yes why wouldn't I do that? There's only one Lady van Slooten after all"
The butchering of her last name caused a giggle from the blue eyed girl. A small thank you could be heard from Kim. The scene went great. There was a lot of tension to be felt. None of it was fake. Both sides liked the other but they just didn't know it yet.
When getting out of the lake both parties started to shiver. It the middle of September and the lake had quickly cooled off after the summer. The film director Isabel came running at them with a fast pace. In her hand holding one of those gold and silver blankets meant to keep you warm. She started talking in a sweet tone "I'm so sorry guys but there is only one of these blankets. So snuggle up to the other and get hot again." Isabel gave Griffin the blanket and walked away.
Griffin folded out the blanket and carefully wrapped it around Kim's shoulders. "Here you can have it. I'll be fine" Kim didn't agree to this and stated "No you won't be. You are shivering and I'm not letting you freeze to death" she opened up the blanket, pulled in him in and wrapped the blanket around both their shoulders. "Thanks Kim. That's really sweet of you." Together wrapped in the warmth of each other they walked back to the bus.
In the bus they sat next to one another. The hazel eyed boy spoke again "Sitting next to you is doesn't work. I can't get my seatbelt fastened and the blanket is to spread out for it to work. So I was thinking how about you come sit on my lap?" Griffin was totally right and the girl was getting cold. Without thinking too much about it she moved over. After all it was only to not get hypothermia right. Griffin could never like her so it really wasn't that big of a deal. Once being seated in his lap he fastened their seatbelt and said in a raspy voice "good job babygirl"
This comment certainly didn't make Kim any colder. Heat was showing on her cheek. She couldn't let Griffin see this so she quickly laid her head on his chest. She prayed that the brown haired guy didn't see her blush as she didn't want him to know her dying love for him. That would make this entire movie so awkward and she didn't want that.
During the long ride back to the campus they enjoyed the company of the other and the music played on the radio. At one point of the ride Kim's mega hit Karma was played. The brown haired boy started humming and singing along causing her heart to swell. She looked up and saw a Griffin with a big smile as if this was the best moment of his live. The girl wished this moment could slow down. She didn't want to let go of the magical feelings she was experiencing. A small wave of sadness washed over her as she realized this moment would come to an end sooner or later.
When the bus arrived at the campus Kim was sad about the fact that she had to get off of Griffins lap. This feeling stemmed from the fact that she was scared that she will never get to experience this again with her longtime crush. Little did she know that he felt the exact same. He felt as if the love of his life had just left him. He too wished for that beautiful moment to continue forever. There was not a lot of time to continue to dwell as they were told to go to hair and make-up.
Hair and make-up did some quick touch up's to the movie stars. The entire afternoon they spend filming different scenes on campus. Once they were done Isabel yelled "Cut! Okay guys that's it for today. You can all go back home now." Griffin and Kim both did as they were told.
Later that night Kim heard knocking on her trailer. She got up from the couch and wondered who could be at the door. When she opened it she saw Griffin standing there with a bouquet of Lilly's.
Before she could ask him why he was here he said "Kim ever since this morning I can't get you out of my head. The moment we shared in the bus was a lifelong dream of mine come true and I'm not going to let it go. The moment we shared was felt like I was in a fairytale. I had a beautiful, talented girl sitting in my lap. I don't want to let go of you so would you please do me the honour of accompanying me to diner tonight?"
Kim froze in her place. She couldn't believe this was happening. Surely she must be dreaming. Yet she wasn't he was really here standing in front of her. She yelled in a loud, excited tone "Yes of course!"
That night they went on their first date. They both learned that the other was crushing for a long period. Stupid sotries were shared and laughs were heard all across the room. A lasting memory of a wonderful time was created that night.
Soon after their first date they got together. They shared their life with each other and many more memories were made. Getting married in Italy was a dream come true. They had two children, a boy and a girl, named Griffin jr and Coco-Collette. They shared their lives until they were old and rusty and enjoyed every moment of their happily ever after.
