General and Crown Prince

Ace happily hugged his angry emperor and helpless empress and went back to Aaron. His eyes glimmer like it has stars in them. He is a very smiley and friendly. The crowd started the banquet. Everything was fine except the two people cuddling each other. They ate dog food the entire time till Ace requested for his leave.

Ace smiled as he cupped his hands and bowed, "Now Daniel is going tomorrow, I want to retreat early to have more time with him. Father, mother, I will retire first." The emperor nodded in understanding. Everyone felt more at ease after they left. The matter they were trying to bring up were brought and everything was settled without any distraction.

They left the banquet before everyone. And in the carriage, Ace looked deeply at Aaron, as he said after tightly pursing his lips, "It's not like I don't want you to go there. I just can't help it. I'm worried that you would hurt yourself and would be in pain. Furthermore, I can resist anything, but I don't want you to be injured. When you would be injured, and I was not present there to help you. I can't accept this. It pains me. So," He hugged him and said, "don't be in pain, please. You have to take care of yourself. It's going to be hard without you. I will miss you."

His tone became sad. Aaron pressed their forehead and separated after a breath. Aaron smiled as he said with a depressed tone, "I know. I will miss you more." Missing you is my daily chores. I would not be satisfied if not think about you all the time.

Ace doesn't know what to do and decided to explain what actually happened. He even said how John acted in front of everyone. Aaron, stunned, looked at him with wide open eyes the entire time.

Aaron felt so suspicious as he said, "Why the hell is Jon so stupid? Is this real? I mean, who would go inside the palace without a proper plan with my face and even forgetting to act like me? I really can't believe this." He can't, and it's peculiar to just think about it. John knew what awaits him inside the spread hall, but still, he went in. More than anything, he even behaved coquettes with his cold looks. If this is not comical, then what is comical? Aaron giggled thinking about the act.

Ace shook his head in resignation. Overtime he laughs his heart will beat aloud. Ace nodded as he continued to explain, "Everything happening in the banquet was more like a misconception. In the original plot line, John could do so much with complex scheming right in front of Stephen. He was very clever in the original plot. So, I have a hunch that there is something wrong with him."

Aaron nodded; it can be true. He added, "Not something but everything. You have doubts about your parents?"

"They acted very well with me. It's like they are guilelessly like this. But I saw the video scene of them having dinner and talking about me, filled with killing intent." He rubbed his chin, feeling amusement as he looked back again. He continued, "At first I really didn't suspect them, but now I can't ignore such a big proof."

Aaron thought carefully as he said, "What if they are being manipulated?"

Ace nodded in return, he mysteriously pointed the question here, "It can be. Maybe it is. But why they would make me the Crown Prince knowing I will not go to hoof in their fingers? If they are not doing this for the throne, then what? I think they fear that I know something that I shouldn't." He smiled, "And that's exactly what I know. But even if they thought hard, they would never know how."

Aaron made an oh expression as he asked, "What will happen to John? Will he be okay with your father's care?"

Ace laughed, feeling happy, "Who knows? I don't care if anything happens to him. John meeting that Shaman was totally a coincidence. I never thought he would have such a grand luck, but still he turned out to be stupid."

Today, seeing John in cloned as Aaron, he felt so angry that he could hardly control it. The pure eyes became frugal, the beautifully whittled face acted coquette in such a dirty way in front of so many people, and the malicious soul was inside Aaron's pure looks. He would love to see Aaron acting like that purely to himself but knowing John is inside that beautiful shell, the enigma of disgust filled his heart. How can a person like John even exist in this plane as a main character? Ace control his itching hands to scratch John. For the entire moment, he felt angry that he needed to look at Aaron. Only after seeing Aaron did his drumming heart due to anger quiet down.
