"........."
It was 11.30 P.M, the time for normal people to sleep and prepare for tomorrow. But instead of actually going to bed or just playing inside the Capsule with Interactive Sleep setting, I got dressed and went out of the apartment. I went past the subway station which had already closed at this hour and continued on towards a café that was surprisingly still open at this time.
As I gently opened the door, a short electronic bell jingle greeted me from within. I looked around the warm place for a moment... and headed to the seat where a familiar old man could be seen enjoying his late-night coffee.
"...did not take you long, did it?"
"I know you knew where my house at." I sat down across the old man while heaving a sigh. "I'm more surprised that you decided to choose this place as our meeting point instead of your own house."
"Don't you think it is for my own safety, because I don't want to invite strangers into my own house?"
"Even so, you could just choose any place near your house. Even if the overall security of this area is much safer thanks to the patrolling AI robots, moving around at night is still burdensome for the body of an old man."
"Hooo... for someone so caring at the elderly, I honestly did not expect you to try pressuring a little child with the ruthlessness of an adult."
"...you say ruthless, but I'm merely asking for the truth and justice. MY Justice"
A waiter... no, the barista of the café came and handed me the menu. He then took out a notepad and stood silently next to me, indirectly asking what I would like to order in silence.
I ended up asking for a hot cup of chocolate before he made a gentle smile and left.
"...so? Can you tell me now why you wanted a face-to-face meeting instead of telling me online?"
"Well... some things are just too cruel to be said in front of children."
"Am I not young enough to be your child by now?"
"Ho ho ho..."
He did not say anything while he was enjoying his coffee and even after the chocolate drink I ordered had arrived. He also did not do anything else aside from cleaning his cup before calling the barista and ordering another one.
I honestly had no idea whether he called me just to waste my time, he actually became senile for some reason, or he was just trying to power-play me by making me impatient and asserting his superiority in the situation.
"...what do you think of MG?"
And just when I was about to take out my phone, the old man finally asked me a question.
"...MG... Machine Gun?" I knew he was not talking about this, but I feigned ignorance for now. "As far as I knew, Laws regarding owning Firearms have considerably become lax compared to back when owning one is considered mutiny against the country. But I don't think-"
"No no... MG as in Miriande Gloralis."
It seemed like we were finally going to talk about the topic now.
"...what do you mean by what I think about the game?"
"Just tell me what you think. I want to hear your unfiltered comments."
I was curious why he said that, but I decided to ponder about it for a bit. After taking a sip from the surprisingly scalding chocolate, I slowly placed it down before giving my answer.
"...it's a terribly balanced game."
"......is it really that bad?"
"That is my opinion as a certified dumbass who chose the Hell difficulty on first playthrough," I stirred the hot chocolate with a small spoon as I continued to talk, "I was thrown into the world with absolutely no idea on what to do and where to go, while the system did not help me because it is restricted by the Hell Difficulty thing. I had to revive and die multiple times to the point I could still feel my body getting stabbed to death even now."
