2 months later. Jaxson has been on his own for a while, he's been thinking about going back but he can't because the bridge was broken... Since it was winter, he needed to find a civilization so he could get food. Jaxson didn't even realize New Year had passed.

Days later Jaxson finally found a small neighborhood. He kept knocking on doors begging for food but people refused to help him. He was getting tired and felt like turning into dust. Jaxson knocked on the last house and a person similar to his age wearing a bag over his head said,
(???): Follow me.
He took Jaxson by the arm and they went to a shed. Once they went in it was full of stuff like a bedroom. He had food and gave him bread and milk. Jaxson thanked him and asked where they were.
(???): We are at a place I go to when I don't want to deal with my problems. I have never seen a boy my age around here. Are you from out of town?
(Jaxson): Oh I'm from way out of town. I'm kind of a runaway. But before I say more about myself, what's your name?
(???): My name is Redmond.

(Jaxson): Nice to meet you, Redmond. I'm Jaxson.
Then they started talking about themselves, Jaxson told him about everything he's gone through. Redmond was talking about his neglectful family and how his sister is 'The Favorite" child. Redmond decided that he wants to run away as well. Redmond went to go back to his house and pack all his things while Jaxson stayed in the shed. When Jaxson was alone, he started to think about Yukari and how he wished they were there. He started getting tired and went to sleep. He had been through a lot and deserved a break. It had been a while since he felt safe and warm while falling asleep.
