Victor Blackwood was the epitome of power and success, a man who climbed the corporate ladder with cold precision. From a young age, he knew the sting of neglect. His parents, absorbed in their business empire, left him under the care of his beloved grandmother. She was his only source of warmth in a world that felt perpetually cold.
As Victor grew, his determination to succeed solidified, driving him to become one of the most formidable CEOs in the business world. His name was synonymous with power, and his empire spanned countless buildings, each a testament to his relentless ambition.
Despite his icy exterior, Victor's heart softened only for his grandmother. When she suffered a heart attack while dining at a restaurant, an unexpected guardian angel appeared in the form of an omega named Andrew. Drowning in debts inherited from his gambler father, Andrew worked tirelessly to make ends meet. His innate kindness and selflessness shone through as he rushed to Victor’s grandmother’s aid, ensuring she received immediate medical attention and caring for her during Victor's absence abroad.
For a whole month, Andrew devoted himself to her recovery, forming a bond that reminded her of a son she never had. Moved by his genuine care, she made a dying wish to Victor: marry Andrew and ease his burdens. Victor, ever obedient to his grandmother's wishes, agreed without hesitation. However, his heart was cloaked in suspicion and bitterness.
On their wedding night, Victor's resentment boiled over. Grabbing Andrew by the collar, he spat venomous words, "Don't expect me to love you, you filthy gold digger. I don't know how you lured my grandmother into your trap, but I'm not falling for it. Know your place and live here like furniture I can ignore."
Victor stormed out, leaving Andrew trembling and in tears. Day after day, Andrew faced Victor's cold scorn, each attempt to win his heart met with harsh insults and accusations.
One day at a party hosted by one of Victor's friend,.Victor's icy gaze fell upon Andrew, who was trying his best to blend in and be helpful at the lavish party filled with the city's elite. Seeing Andrew conversing with one of the guests, Victor’s simmering resentment boiled over. He stormed across the room, his voice cutting through the chatter like a knife.
"Everyone, can I have your attention?" Victor called out, his tone sharp and commanding. The room fell silent as all eyes turned towards him. He grabbed Andrew by the arm and pulled him to the center of the room.
"Do you all know who this is?" Victor’s voice dripped with venom. "This is Andrew, my so-called spouse. But let’s be clear about what he really is—a shameless, gold-digging parasite."
Andrew's face paled, his eyes wide with shock and hurt. Victor continued, ignoring the pain he was inflicting. "You see, Andrew here pretends to be kind and innocent, but it’s all an act. He latched onto my grandmother, worming his way into her heart and her will, thinking he could secure a cushy life without lifting a finger."
Gasps and murmurs rippled through the crowd, eyes filled with judgment and disdain now fixed on Andrew. Tears welled up in Andrew's eyes, but Victor was relentless.
"Don't be fooled by his helpless act. This man is nothing but a leech, sucking the life out of anyone foolish enough to show him kindness. He thinks he's won, but let me tell you something, Andrew—you will never be anything more than a disgrace. You might have fooled my grandmother, but you will never fool me. You’re not worthy of respect, love, or even pity."
Victor's voice grew colder, more malicious. "In fact, you disgust me. The very sight of you makes my skin crawl. You are a pathetic, worthless excuse for a human being. Your entire existence revolves around manipulation and deceit. Do you think anyone here would ever respect you? Look around! They see you for what you really are—a desperate, sniveling rat, scrounging for scraps. You don’t belong here. You will never belong anywhere that requires dignity or honor."
Victor's words pierced deeper, as he leaned closer to Andrew, his voice a low, venomous whisper that everyone could hear. "You know what the saddest part is? You think you can earn my love or anyone else's, but you’re too stupid to realize that love is earned through integrity, something you lack entirely. You are nothing, Andrew. You will always be nothing. No matter how hard you try, you will always be a worthless, contemptible gold-digger who everyone sees through."
The room was deathly silent, the weight of Victor’s cruel words hanging heavily in the air. The crowd remained silent, the party now a mere shadow of its former grandeur, tainted by the vicious display of cruelty. The guests looked at Victor with a mix of shock and disgust, their previous admiration replaced with a chilling recognition of the darkness within him.
Andrew eyes were filled with tears, he couldn't believe that his alpha, his own husband would humiliate him in public like this it was true Victor never liked him but humiliating him in public? It was the least he could ever expect. "How could you?" Andrew choked on his own words, his breath hitched "I.. im not a gold digger, I didn't marry you for money it's because your grandma wanted me to marry you How the hell is this my fault?"
Andrew sobs and runs away from the party, the guests talking shit about Andrew. As he reaches his bedroom he immediately retrieved a suitcase and started to pack his things, the things he bought for himself with his own money. Andrew gazed at the wedding ring he wore and sniffles while taking it off "I'm sorry grandma, I tried to endure it for this long but I'm afraid your puppy is just a coward who can't endure this all anymore, forgive me for this" He took off his ring and placed it on the table, meanwhile Victor rushed in and saw this scene
"Surely you aren't going to leave this luxurious life right? I mean where will a filthy poor person like you get this luxuries in life hm?" Victor scoffed but then he looked at Andrew's ring finger it was empty, his eyes widens in shock and fear when he saw the wedding ring on the table
" H.. hey? You know no one would provide for you like I did, no one will love you like I did so stop this nonsense and stay"
Andrew looked at him with tearful eyes and smiles sadly "You speak of love Victor... when did you ever love me? I think.. i think it's for the best we part ways Victor who knows you might find the love of your life too? Someone you'll actually adore oh and.."
Andrew takes out a divorce paper from the drawer "Sign them Victor.. let's end it"
Victor eyes widened with fear and horror he snatched the Divorce papers and tore them apart
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU BLABBERING ABOUT? YOU'RE MY OMEGA, MY HUSBAND, GRANDMA CHOOSE YOU FOR ME.. IM NOT LETTING YOU WALK AWAY LIKE THIS NEVER..."
Victor yelled in his desperate tone
"But Victor I-"
Victor didn't let Andrew continue as he fell on his knees and held both of Andrew's hands, tears streaming down his face
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry I've been such a Monster to you, you deserve nothing but happiness.. Forgive me please... I can't live without you.. No.. It's I love you Andrew i fell in love with you when I saw you for the first time, but the walls I built around my heart made me hurt you.. you're the person who cared for me despite my cruelty, you should me kindness when I was nothing but harsh to you. How can I not fall for you hm? I love you Andrew, I love the way you talk, I love the way your eyes shine when you talk about sweets, I love the way you giggle, I love each and everything about you Andrew.. don't leave me.. I beg you"
Andrew was shocked at this sudden confession he caressed Victor's cheek and wipes his tears while smiling to him
"There there, don't cry"
He knelt down and hugged Andrew
"We can work this out, but promise me.. promise me you'll change"
Victor sobbed and nodded
"I promise, I'll change I'll be the husband you want, the husband you deserve"
Victor leaned in and sealed their promise in a kiss, the flower of their love blooming than ever before. Thus they both led a happy life and Victor became the best husband one could ever become. He soon impregnated Andrew and they both had a child which they fondly name "Ivan". The once cold and harsh ceo became a loving husband and a doting father. Their life changed for good.
