Morning brings soft rest. As mind becomes conscious of waking up, softness fills man's soul. Gone is a heavy burden of responsibility, of stress digging through his head. It has all been lifted. No more running from bed to bus to college. No more worries if he will make it out on time.
It's peaceful.
He can rest today, all day.
The sun rose a long time ago. Soft rays fill their bedroom but he won't open his eyes. This calm of the summer morning fulfils him with happiness he can't remember he has felt in a long time. But there were times.
There are always with him...
Gentle ruffling of the futon on the other side makes him smirk in sleep. The feeling of a heavy, scarred hand palpitating over soft fabric searching for something is undeniably Sukuna's.
A sigh from a man beside him almost makes him laugh.
Mattress sinks as Sukkuna turns over to Megumi. It hangs over to one side as both men cause imbalance.
Countless mornings have been spent on Megumi's side of the bed as Sukuna moves himself into Megumi's space. But it doesn't bother him, it can never bother him. He welcomes it.
"Turning in your sleep." A low voice speaks against the crook of his neck. The hair rises over his skin when he hears Sukuna's sleepy voice.
Megumi hums.
Morning is long and he does not want to fully awake yet. To freeze time and to savour this moment would be his only wish in this instance. He doesn't want to shatter the idealistic momentum of peace.
But he can't so he will enjoy it a little longer.
Curtains flatter lazily under the breeze coming from the open window. It brings a wave of a refreshness to wash away sweat from nightly hours.
There is no noise coming from the small street of a suburban place to disturb them. People are equally enjoying the morning.
Savor it, don't let it go.
Don't let it slip, don't...
Harsh skin of a hand trails over Megumi's arm. Slowly it feels every muscle in it. It circles over the shoulder, then it trails down the limb. Caressing every spot.
It leaves areas of sensation over Megumi. For years every touch was reserved only for handshakes or a casual hug from Tsumiki. He despised affection in this manner. It was wrong, weak - not meant for him. Now he quivers in it.
Thumb passes his wrist, it rubs over a small vessel of circulating blood straight to the palm of Megumi's hand. A silver ring on his thumb leaves coldness over the warm skin of a palm.
It stays there as Sukuna intertwines the rest of his fingers.
Megumi's hand closes like a venus fly trap's mouth and he isn't keen on letting it go.
Stay. It pleads instead of Megumi's voice.
Sukuna breaths against his back pulled closer. Neither of them cares about the heat of tightly joined bodies in this hour of Summer.
He draws closer to Megumi's body. The naked torso of a bigger man pressed to his back.
Megumi might have closed a grip on him but it's Sukuna who makes him feel to be one, to fuse him within his heart and keep him there - safe.
"You corner me against the wall and now you want to give me space, Megs, what will I do with you, huh?" A low and husky voice vibrates over Megumi's skin, finally waking him up.
